On re-reading his post, you are correct.

The merlin is big, ugly, noisy and slow. I'd be happier if the MoD announced it was dumping the merlin in favour of the black hawk. I guess I should be grateful we already have hueys and apaches, although if memory serves the UK has something like 2 operational AH64s as the rest have been cannibalised to keep those 2 flying.

There are AAA vehicles, plus the tanks themselves are excellent vs. helo's if they come in within the arc of your main gun. (which is typically done once the helo notices the AAA vehicle is active) Without the tree's the AAA becomes incredibly more effective and creates a more realistic setting where air concentrates on AAA before going after armor.

I stick with my earlier statement, Steel Thunder would be 10x better if they removed all the grass and half of the tree's.

Re: About 0.6....

The only thing I really dont like about this map is that it is at the start of the server rotation. So we end up playing this map, (along with the other maps at the the top of the rotation) more than others. That is my only complaint.

The rotation often gets messed up when the server crashes, so it won't always be first.

Hueys would be nice, everyone like Hueys.

Re: About 0.6....

It's not looking good for extraction maps in 0.6.

Re: About 0.6....

I have never played extraction on TG, i think it would be a good idea to get a few maps in the rotation!!!
