Base jumping ? I find that has its own disadvantage in that it obviously breaks cover and the chute doesnt always deploy in time

According to the PR forums it should be open beta in about 10 days (maybe) and the release maybe two weeks after that (bigger maybe).

But the base jumping part..... That's one of the good things about everyone not having a parachute. Once you get a squad or sniper trapped on a roof they/he knows it's a matter of time until they start getting hammered. In Vanilla the easy escape route was to just bail off the side of a building - thereby eluding your pursuers who will still climb the ladder to get PO'd. With limited para-capable players you have to pick your spots and stand your ground - IMHO.
