Re: Tactical Gamer Beta v0.6 Test Server
First: thanks for setting a server up.
Then two remarks: (1) turning voting on is an option, because rounds tend not to end, imo because after tickets are "0" people are staying alive and the game always waited until everyone was dead I thought. (2) Yesterday I did experience a server going from conquest on one map, to the insurgency mode on Basra. Worked without a glitch, and that version of Basra sports a merlin - ! - and it flies like a dream now!

Re: Tactical Gamer Beta v0.6 Test Server
Correct, it is completely seperate. It will essentially install a brand new mod called PR v.06 Open Beta along with a seperate icon on your desktop. Have no fear you can switch between the two with no problems.

Re: Tactical Gamer Beta v0.6 Test Server
Yes thats correct.
You can shoot civilians if they are in a vehicle I believe, also if you see them on a MG you may shoot without penalty. I think you are allowed to run them over also which seems slightly contrary to TG guidelines. Theres other changes listed in the preview threads. You can stab RP to destroy it (if you see any, they are rare at present) Anyone made a CO bunker or AA yet? Could you put 0.6 and/or PR in the server name as thats the filter I use to find servers and probably what others will be using also |

Re: Tactical Gamer Beta v0.6 Test Server
Well there's only like 4-5 servers so I'm pretty sure you'll be able to spot it right away.
Bi Ming is interesting to say the least. It's completely pitch black. Remember it's "7" for your night vision. Even with night vision on it's still incredibly difficult to see because there's no ambient light. I hope that's not how this map is going to be in .6 final because if it is, it's probably going to be the least favorite new map. I think 6 or 7 people dropped off right after it loaded. We even voted for it from the previous map.

Re: Tactical Gamer Beta v0.6 Test Server
We still need to get our automated scripts loaded. Hopefully they will be installed shortly.

Other suggestions : Assault on Mestia : Has a CTD bug, with how much time some maps play for, its (IMO) silly to have a map that CTDs players in rotation. Al Basrah : Would be awesome to either only have this on insurgency mode or completely off the list. The map in AAS isnt really all that great, the apache lag bug is annoying, everyone keep map voting for it, making it VERY annoying. Last edited by Amdak; 05-30-2007 at 12:27 AM. |

Re: Tactical Gamer Beta v0.6 Test Server
With the voting, theres no need to turn it on till the very end of the map or whenever you want to vote to change it.
It can be changed in realtime like audio volume, if you opt of voting you wont see all the spam from it |

Re: Tactical Gamer Beta v0.6 Test Server
How about changing the server name from 'TacticalGamer.com - Reality Mod Beta' to 'TacticalGamer.com - PR 0.605 open beta' -> this way people know what version is on. Just a suggestion
.If 0.605 is on of course...

Re: Tactical Gamer Beta v0.6 Test Server
We'll be updating the server today at sometime. Unless someone gets to it before me, I'll have it updated tonight.
And yes, we can update the server title.
