Is the next scrim still going to be .5? That should be made clear in the announcement.

I think it depends whether 0.6 is officialy released before or after the date of the scrim. If it's released before the scrim, we'll use 0.6 If it's released after the scrim, we'll use 0.5

A little bit more time to make strat's would have helped. I think CO's in the future for both squads should have a "OH SH-T" plan ready to go into effect in the event they get capped out. Would have come in handy on Ejod.

More discipline on kits would be nice. I know a few times guys were unable to get their marksman or HAT kit because of do-it-yourselfers on other squads.

Perhaps someone announce awards for best firefight or best arty with video clips after the scrim for some good highlights to watch.

Less disconnects, not sure why, but we had a lot more than normal. I know that my squad had over 15 disconnects on EJOD... how did that contribute to the tickets!

(p.s. Props to my squad for excellent K : D ratios and for sticking together when all hell seemed to break lose.)

Alpha team had more than enough time to thrash out strategies and plans.

    asch,

I didn't see much wrong with the amount of time allowed for pre-event planning, though it didn't get utilised much, so maybe more time is required.

Someone suggested an earlier TS start - this would be good, and would make sure things aren't being rushed. But I guess that's up to the players to make it on time.

As for the no-shows - well, I was one of 'em, so I can't criticise. Again, it's up to the players not to let people down.

It does seem that the UK/Euro players want these things on earlier, while the EST/Similar players want it played later. I don't see how to resolve that...10pm seems to be the preferred choice for the EST/similar folks, which is 2am here, which isn't a great time to start, as it might mean playing into 4-5am. Hard one to resolve, I guess.

That makes it a no-go for anyone OCONUS with a day job IMO.

Granted I'm biased being on GMT, but I feel that players wanting to start the game at 10PM EDT is pretty selfish, tbh. You would be effectively completely blocking the entire European section of TG that wants to play in these scrims. Frankly it was hard enough for me at the current start time, I was only able to play one round.

I kind of agree with Mingmong on this, it is hard for us europeans, and there are probably more here than people expect! So far i have been pretty dedicated in that any opportunity i have, im on Forum/Server! But i have to admit, the constantly going to bed 6am and getting up 2 hours later for work is starting to catch up with me! And i usually work weekends also! However, i guess ill be signing up either way, have to help my team retain the Title!!Go Alpha!

Maybe a 6pm ET start would be a better compromise. That's a bit early for the US people, and a bit late for the Euros, but not far enough in either direction to be a big problem.

    Thanks mate!

I though that time was pretty good, an hour here or there would be fine, but it seems to give everyone time on both sides of the pond a chance to get sorted out, its 10 pm here!!!

Another thing to consider perhaps is one-map only scrims playing the map twice. That was very successfull with the Inishail scrim. Each team played each side once. It cuts down on the strategy prep time (not by 50% really but it does make some things simpler).

I really do think though if a team leader, COs, and most importantly SL's can be hashed out early then attendance and strategy coordination will be improved.

    Re: Internal Scrim #1 Feedback

Just need more participation. If COs and strategy planners cannot be assured of having 32 people on their team, then what is the point of even making a strategy? If you start out with 25 people on your team, you have to make a strategy for 25 people. But we all know that at least 5 people will no show or drop at some point. If you go down to 20 people, in most cases you have to completely change your strategy on the fly, like Bravo team had to for both rounds.

We didnt have this problem in other scrims since we had so many reserves. Each team always had 32 people, it was just a matter of moving the reserves into the right squads.

So yeah, overall we need more participation. Advertise during PW nights, tell people in your squads that scrims are open to anyone that likes TG, and just get people onto the forums to participate.
