Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32

I think you should be able to take enemy kits all you want. But once you take an enemy kit, it should be accounted as an issued kit anymore.

E.g. if you are allowed to have 2 HAT kit issued and the enemy steals one, from the point where an enemy takes that HAT kit, it doesn't count as an issued kit anymore. This would allow the enemy to have more kits of that type (which is already bad for you) without penalizing your team. In some games it's simply impossible to do anything without those kits.

Yes I know... bla bla bla... defend the kits.... bla bla... don't die... etc. bs. It's not that simple. Plus, i've seen quite a few cases of "kit stealing whoring"... that is stealing a kit and then falling back to an UCB to "protect" it and stop the enemy from using it.

It's getting out of hand.

I don't know if this is related, but ever since the 32 player version of Kashan is on, I 've seen a lot of the 'squad bug'...

Also, Kashan Desert twice in rotation is a little too much imo, especially since it takes at least 2 hours to finish.

Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32

I only got to play Kashan 64 in the last days. Was Kashan 32 removed?

The more I play it, the less fond of it I am because of those jets spinning around in circles. It totally breaks the realism of this game.

I dislike the way Kashan is being played as an infantryman, its a good map but it needs to be shorter - 2 hour long matches are not fun

Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32

I'm gonna remove my vote to reduce tickets....

Kashan just doesn't work, period. There might be...8 people on each side that enjoy the map,and these are pilots and/or tankers. Its a two hour lag fest for some, time to quit for others. 7/10 times Kashan starts to load,I leave the server till its over.

I'll stop my ranting now before I get in some trouble

Perhaps one or two were stolen I don't know. But it was a bit too much rapage, especially since we had a well organized team. We should have had access to the HAT, regardless of it being stolen. This is a real problem in the 32 version I fear. It may become like Kuffrah too much, where one tank can own the whole opposing team. I like Kuffrah, but I don't want another map like that.

Other then that I think it was great to play the map in a different way. I asked SL's why they thought we were winning by 200 points, apparently because teh others were at the runway :/.
just 1 tanks there is another more ways to kill a tank than just AT

flank and engi can do the job + help with some smoke is more easy than HAT since they reduce the zoom

Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32

What Kashan needs are 2 or even 4 more HAT kits per squad.

When I lead a squad, I usually go tank hunting and support troops capturing the bunkers. The best squad to go hunting would be:

- 1 officer kit
- 2 HAT kit
- 1 support kit
- 1 rifleman kit
- 1 medic kit

An even better team would be
- 1 officer
- 4 HAT
- 1 medic kit
- 1 vehicle for resupply

The later is of course not possible with the current kit limitation on Kashan desert.

The first squad layout, I never do it either because the number of HAT is too limited and taking all of them to go hunting is not good for the team. Because LAT is not usable at ranges for tank hunting (500 m to 1 km), I replace the second HAT by a second rifleman or a marksman.

This isn't the optimal tank hunting squad and is more generic role class. Another difficulty of making a real tank hunting squad (other than the HAT kit limitation) is the lack of rifles for HAT soldiers. They should have at least an M4 or an M16.

I second that notion, never give rifles to heavy AT, the kit is to precious for some pubby to go rambo with it

See, people say that Kashan isnt an infantry man's map...but I've come in first by a LONG SHOT over all the other players playing only as infantry.

Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32

I can't buy this argument. Sorry. It's simply not realistic not to give a rifle to that kit. Even the carbine wouldn't be realistic. Carbine with iron sights should be issued to crewman instead of rifles. And machine pistols to pilots.

The kit system should reflect real life "kits" and not be artificially create because some idiots can't use them as they should.

With the current limitations, it's simply impossible to use many real tactics, procedures and drills. That is something obvious to me every time I lead a squad on kashan desert.

But sorry, this is going off topic. ANy got something to add, I'd say feel free to start a new topic, we'll go on in there.
