Question Re: Internal Scrim?

Pheonix sounds good,is Mao Valley still in the maplist? If it is..we might want to look into that.

a scrim is basically a get-together of everyone in TG, supporting member or not. Supporting members get bumped up before non-sm'ers on the roster, but there usually aren't enough to bump every non-sm to the reserves (especially with an in-house scrim, this won't happen.) You can sign up for one and never been seen before on the forums, pretty much anyone can play. It's also ALOT more organized, squads and roles are assembled beforehand, and the CO gives specific instructions to each SL as to what to do. Although most scrims are TG vs other clans, I've had the pleasure to play in one in-house scrim a little over a year ago when we were still playing tac-mod, and let me tell you that was the most fun I've ever had gaming, period.

Re: Internal Scrim?

Hi!

i would like to suggest that we use all infantry based map. Its not that i dont like tanks map , from time to time its good , but i really prefer infantry based map. I dont know why , but most of desert map turn in endless forced march when you didnt get that ride...a couple of APCs , some helo and jeeps are alright!

With infantry based map , like the Beatles use to say , all you need is love ....and a few smoke nades...

Im thinking about : 7 Gates , Street , Helmand Province ( in my opinion one the best map ever for squad based tactics ) Mestia , ghost train ECT.

Re: Internal Scrim?

i am thinking the exact opposite of that because those maps end quickly and we would be done the scrim in like an hour and a half because 7gates takes like 25 minutes, street ends really quicklu, and yesterday Helmand ended in like 10 minues. I think that having maps like Kashan and maybe even basrah would lengthen it out and still have players on it.

Re: Internal Scrim?

I think it depend on multiple factors but the main one is the opposite team.
If the teams are really even (on skills) , rounds tend to be longer .

Im not sure how long a scrimmage is suppose take, but i dont intent to play more than 2 hours , and half max hehe. After that time, my ass hurt

Anyway its was a suggestion, im pretty sure we will have a good time with any map

Re: Internal Scrim?

scrimmages can last a good long time, usually longer than two hours. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of filling in for someone during a 6th scrim, and that lasted longer than three hours for one round

Yeah, but that was 6 v 6 Operation Ghost Train with NO vehicles. It was very, very very hard.
