I thought the max dimensions for a sig photo were 468x100. These are huge.

Just a little thing I discovered with PNG 's:
I you use a browser older than IE7 or Firefox, PNG 's won't be completely transparent because these browsers can't deal with 24 bit PNG 's. Therefor you need to use the option 'save for web' in Photoshop and save it as an 8 bit PNG. You 'll lose a bit of quality but at least everyone will see it the way it 's supposed to be .

Why not just use a transparent .gif and set the matte to match the forum color? Like mine.

Because GIF = worse quality and because I use my signature on +- 5 forums so I 'd have to create 5 versions .
