i like it dirti. simple, just enough contrast to it to make the viewers eye search for whats in it and see the guy popping out of it.

Word to the wise. I have read on multi sites that having a lot of extra fonts in your windows font folder can really slow down your computer, just from them being there. I usually install 1-2 when using them, and then make sure to delete them when done.

I do graphic designs for my living and few tricks come to my mind. I bought 4 000 fonts and use font manager software to swap them into the font folder and off from there. You should be able to find freeware font managers with Google.

Also lots of brushes and custom shapes help out a lot when tweaking things up with photoshop.

Does anyone know the name of and/or where I can download the font from TF2? I want to try making a banner/sig/whatever with that as an experiment to my (as-yet-unknown) sig making skills.

Yeah I agree. Also, I would recommend not making your sig and avatar the same color as it looks kinda ugly and boring.
