I find the very bright white on the upper part of that sig very irritating.

Riiivveeettttssss

Just kidding, it looks fine to me except for that white ball on the second red ribbon, located near the upper left corner. If that could go away (I don't know what source image you're using) then the picture would be a lot clearer and straightforward, and still have the cool white-out effect.

Re: Sigs?

Can't you place it off the image? I know you can in GIMP.

Re: Sigs?

Dirti, keep the light source, without it the sig would look odd. Its a fine sig, maybe put the light behind the render, or lightly erase the lightsource layer on the render. Its great any way.

Have you tried using the "Diffuse Glow" distortion? It works very well for what you are going for. Also, as brain21 suggested, try making the "canvas size" far greater in the y-axis, add your lightsource, then cut the "canvas size" back down to the original size.

Re: Sigs?

That Sig is ridiculously huge in size, both senses of it o.O

BUT at the same time, is pretty freakin awesome.
