Close air support debriefing.
For the most part Close air support on the server has an okay quality imo. This post is for people who called in CAS to comment on it, what they liked did not like.
Was the air support effective, did you get only one pass over hostiles infantery when you wanted 2 or 3 etc. .
Pretty please no flaming and drawn out arguing with a lot of back and forth, keep it to the point or it might get lockage.IN GAME NICK cap_Kilgore

Re: Close air support debriefing.
Wouldn't/shouldn't this be in the AAR section? With a bit more detail? (Map, time, who was in CAS?)

Re: Close air support debriefing.
Threads in the AAR section are usually about a specific match/game. The intention was to have one single thread where JTAC operators can make reference to a mission they called in in their post rather than having a separate thread for each game.
Also you dont need to reinvent the wheel, there is only so much that can be discussed on the topic, which somebody can hopefully look up on the thread later on.IN GAME NICK cap_Kilgore

Re: Close air support debriefing.
In the beginning regular feedback would be required, at least if you were not happy with CAS, or feel if people are not happy with your CAS.
As more cases are covered it is likely that something you experienced is already covered on here and then it would be more of a learning resource, with occasional debriefing entries.IN GAME NICK cap_Kilgore

Re: Close air support debriefing.
In order for a CAS squad to be effective you need to have good communication with your teams, need the pilot and gunner to know each others and have good communication as well, and you also need a bit of luck like in every assets.
Infantry on the grounds sometimes seems to think that flying or gunning aircraft are easy, its is not easy and you need to know what you are doing.
Spotters need to let the CAS squad knows what kind of ennemies they are called in and the exact grid they are lasing, and they need to lase when the craft is coming in not when hes far away from the target, just like the CAS need to tells the team when they are coming in or what they spotted and where.
Good communication is a must for close air support, without it you will always fail and your team will fail aswell.
