Last night during the 5ths Pirates night, I mistakenly called out Doctor. for bunny hopping. I realize now he was trying to cross the rope bridge without falling through the cracks. At the time, I did not know falling was a possibility, and as he was specifically hunting me I thought he was trying to gain an advantage. I later realized the peril of the rope bridge when I too fell through one.

Knowing that Doctor. is TG and a good bloke, I should have joked about it on TS rather than dress him down. For that I am truly sorry. I have already PM'd Doctor., but because I called him out in public, I felt it necessary to make this public apology.

I played for a while in the Pirates mod last night and with the long reload time on the guns I had a hell of a time resisting the urge to bunny hop.

I'm pretty sure I did it a couple of times but was anyone really taking the game play that seriously? Playing on big maps with a small number of people when all flags are cappable makes for marginal play at best. Besides, weren't we there just to try something new and have a bit of fun with it?

It's always going to be the big maps though as part of what we want is to try out all the vehicles which many times are only available at the larger sizes. With some of the mods like Battleracer, Fallen Times and Close Quarters Combat, it doesn't matter as much. But with mods like Allied Intent, USI and Operation Peacekeeper, you want the bigger maps so that you can try out the various pieces of equipment.

Yea, that bridge is nasty as there are so many gaps on it and you have to jump just to jump on the thing. There are other places too like the two giant ships tied together where some of the stairs need to be jumped up too as they are too steep.
