Help! My display freezes when starting a map.
My display freezes when I start a new game. It is right after I click "Join Game." I get into the game, the map comes on screen, and my controls freeze. Nothing I press makes any difference. I can see the game going on behind the map, but my controls freeze.
I have reinstalled BF2, but it still freezes.
What can I do?Camp town ladies sing this song ... doodah .... doodah.

this isn't the solution, but may help lead to it. Can you monitor your processes? (ctl-alt-del, it should stay on top of BF2) and then see if something is taking over the majority of your cycles, that isn't named BF2.
Does anything else, exhibit this behavior?
I get some serious LAG from time to time, and often when a map first loads, and in that lag before the map starts, I can't effect anything.. it does go away after a bit.Park Bench
