Re: Orthodox Christmas and Family emergency--Axis AFK
My mom is recovering well and quite quickly from surgery and healing is moving along. She had a four-day daily treatment of IVs which helped replace all minerals, vitamins, enzymes, amino acids etc. that she had depleted, and to boos her blood count--she has become quite anemic and her malnourishment from the previous weeks had taken their toll.
She also had been on a regimen of 100+ supplements, vitamins, minerals, etc. per day as part of her anti-cancer plan, and for more than a week was off (ever since she went to the hospital) so her body was in shock from a lack of those things as well. Now she is back with the program, the swelling in her leg has disappeared, and her outlook (short-term) is very good.
She had a full-body CAT scan on Friday, which will tell us what we're dealing with for the long-term; results will be back soon. One of her best friends from before I was born is staying with her now, and she is a professional PT/Rolfer/Cranio-sacral therapist, so that'll do mom's body and soul some good.
In cancer (especially terminal) there are good days and bad days. Thought we don't know what the Big C is up to yet, she's having good days right now, and we all can appreciate and enjoy that.
I'll keep you posted.
