    Introducing Myself

Hey guys, I'm new around here and would just like to say hello! I'm been playing BF2 for a while now, however only over LAN wit some friends. I'm rather new to online play and have found it frustrating to find any decent rooms to play in. Most of the time the players spend their time team-killing and insulting each other.

Is there anywhere people know of where people are generally nice to one another and play the game with team-work and all that jazz? I like to play the game seriously (well, have fun and capture points and so on) and would love to play with other like minded people. Would I have to join a clan to do this?

    Cheers,
    M.

I think you have found it.

While we don't run a vanilla BF2 server anymore, please do give our server running Point Of Existence, a BF2 mod, a go. Teamwork is not just encouraged here, it's required. You don't have to join TacticalGamer or pay anything to be a part of it.

    Here's how to get started.

Welcome to TG, feel free to ask questions about the game, what is allowed and what isn't, and what your squad leader expects from you.

    Mamertine, <alright stop>

sorry kid, I read that 4 times and everytime, I saw baggy pants and some crazy dancing.

WELCOME, and come play Point of existence with us. Feel free to say hey once in game. The first couple time you play POE, check out a squad with a TG person leading it... we all appear to have a habit of waiting til the round nearly starts before starting a squad, but anyway. jump in, say you hit the forums and you're new, and then buckle in for a good time. You'll catch on fast enough, when in doubt go medic or support, and most SLs will love you.

    see you out there.

In my opinion you should also consider the PR - Project Reality Mod of BF2

This Mod in my opinion forces the art of teamwork which is one of the things you seek

In the event you want more info on this mod let me know; furthermore, TG operates a PR Server.

The PR mod does enforce teamwork. It also brings gameplay to a whole new level. No more run and gun style of play. You have to move nearly as if you actually would in real life. Give the mod a try. It may not be for you. Some don't like such a high level of realism. But if it is your cup of tea...you will never look back. I can't play any other first person shooters anymore, because they pale in comparison to PR. They just disgust me in their lack of teamplay and abundance of smacktards now. I never realized they were that bad until I started playing PR with the Tactical Gamer crew.

    Yeah. It's that good
