    Stealth and snipe

Anyone got any tips for hiding? The grass turns invisible at a distance. I personally hide in a certain kind of shrub, which can be found on wake island. 1 tank, 1 buggy, and 2 snipers missed me. The snipers died. I finally got killed because I fired a sniper round at a dude 12 feet away. Shoulda used the silenced pistol.

Staying stationary is writing your death certificate...especially in a uav and scan environment since you appear to be playing vanilla bf2. The best approach is to always place yourself behind friendly infantry. Not right behind them on the frontlines but maybe 50-100 meters behind them in a position where you have overlook. They act as the shield as the enemy has to focus on them while you cover them from afar. Your position should not be stationary lying down and going on typical roofs is the first place people look. What works best is using the terrain...use it to limit enemy line of sight while focusing yours and always have a way to duck down behind it. If friendly infantry are getting overun then its time to displace to a new area...and if you start racking up kills you can be sure someone is now out to get ya. Stationary = impending death

Can any1 show me a picture of a camoflauged sniper? Too bad BF2 doesn't have 3rd person view-I wonder why they can't see me...

FBmantis put it pretty well, except I would suggest staying at least 200 yards behind your troops. (assuming the line of sight permits shooting at mid-long ranges) The best defence you can have against an enemy is being difficult to locate so while you should remain mobile you should also put as much range between you and the enemy as possible. You might also want to consider choosing your next spots before you go there, just in case of emergency.
