Re: Tactical Gamers' BF2 Servers
Please forgive the dumb but obvious question but why doesn't TG have a Vanilla BF2 server?

Re: Tactical Gamers' BF2 Servers
I guess it's the community's choice. vBF2 dose not stick to the "TG way", to much bunny hoping, Tking and not enough cooperation and team play.

Re: Tactical Gamers' BF2 Servers
I think it was more that the different mods fractured the playing group, combined with the fact that a lot of people got bored. It got to the point where it would be maybe six of us on the server.
vBF2 had tons of coordination and teamplay, more so than the mods at most times IMO. It just sort of died out as people moved onto new games.

Although I am still campaigning to get a TG vBF2 24/7 FF-off Karkand/Wake server.
Maybe even knives only...

Re: Tactical Gamers' BF2 Servers
Question: Why do we have a server running, doing nothing? The PR Medic course was a while ago (I'm pretty sure), and in the mean time I think we could be putting it to use. Maybe it could be doing a round on the mods: One week, it serves FH2, the next week, PR, the next PoE2, etc., just when it isn't being used.
Of course when it is needed just password lock it and change it to whatever map/mod you need.
We might as well get the most for the money (if we are paying for it, I'm not sure how TG gets its servers).|TG-XV| Waldo_II

Feel free to organize any event that you want. I will make sure the server is available.

Re: Tactical Gamers' BF2 Servers
Gahlas is right. I would say a good 8 months from the initial BF2 release we had a full server practically every night, like what you see with PR. We played vanilla the 'TG way'. No bunny hopping, no team killing and all team play and tactics. And we had very few idiots running around too. Those were some of the best times I've had gaming. Maybe that's why there's a push to
reorganize a vanilla server.|TG-12th| jmaker

Re: Tactical Gamers' BF2 Servers
After a few year hiatus, I've returned to BF2, having purchased the Battlefield Collection.
Other then the wonderful Punk buster errors like:
Md5 Tool Mismatch, lost packet issues, etc, I finally can play some games.
Sadly, I can't recall my passwords to any of my names, so I've created a new one. Since I've always used the name "TEAZER" and if you search, you will see many of my names, I'm using the one im logged in here today.
I see there are no original BF2, servers for TG, so I do have Bf2, and BF2 Spec Ops and the one where the maps are in the USA. But I don't have all the mods, yet.... I do have 2142, but uninstalled that game within a few hours of playing it.
I'd like to play old TG Style, like back in the Ghost Recon 1 Days... anyone hit me up. Generally, I play as a Support [MG] (Tactics, I cover you... Cover 6)I seek Tactical Gamers:
1. Must use proper communication.
2. Must use Teamwork.
3. Enjoy Squad based tactics.
4. Load-out gear for 9 man squads! (or less depending on game.)
If you match my criteria, then add me to your friends.

Re: Tactical Gamers' BF2 Servers
We do have a BF2 Vanilla ranked server, however it does not see a lot of traffic. Here is a list of all the TG servers. Welcome back, after you try some of the mods, I am sure you will find some BF2 action to suit your taste.
Point of Existence and Project Reality both see regular traffic on our servers.
Here is a list.|TG-12th| jb4
