Hi all!
I founded Tactical Gamer because Armed Assault, some of you may know me from there.
I never played Battlefield games besides the 2142 demo, but seeing so many people playing it at the TG forums and with the complete collection so cheap, I decided to try it.
I have a few questions that I missed to find here, or in the official forum of the game and I'm hoping that you guys can answer then.
How do you unlock the weapons, I understand there is a rank system, but how do I earn the points to unlock them?
How do I know which servers are playing, vanilla, Special Forces, Euro Force, or Armored Fury? How do I even know which ones I'm running?
I've been reading about Project Reality and Point of Existence, are these total conversions, or can I choose what I want to run? (Example: If I have installed PR, can I choose to start the game in vanilla, or with project reality?)
Sorry for all the questions, maybe there is already a Topic with them but I was unable to find it (maybe too lazy
)
PS: If you can point me a link that can introduce to me the game, that would be great.

You need to find a ranked server. As far as TG Battlefield servers go, I think only the 2142 server is ranked.

They are both mods. You can have both installed and run whichever version you like, including vanilla BF2. This is an especially good time to try POE2 with the 2.5 version having just been released. See the News entry that was created for it.
Given your ArmA background, I suspect you might lean more towards PR. Definitely give it a try. You might want to do it before version 8.0 comes out and our server becomes full ALL the time.
