Re: Pirates 2 testing, Sunday, August 24, at 3PM EST
Note - I wouldnt recommend installing right over top of the the Release 1 version of Pirates2 because this build does not include the python necessary to run it properly in Local. We've gutted the gpm_cq Conquest mode to flush that out with the BattleRacer code and have our own gamemode files for 90% of the maps which didnt exist in previous builds. As you'll see tomorrow it wont be the same experience because many of the vehicles require the gpm_pirates python to enable the side ladders to board enemy vessels, the scoring and logic of CTF and Zombie maps, etc etc.

I'de just like to say on behalf of the mod team, a big thanks to everyone who came along, it was great fun and we welcome and appreciate any comments you guys have to make about what we showed you tonight. I just can't stress how helpful it is to have a great bunch of people like your selves who can come along and test out how the maps play with a larger number of people.
So thanks and i look fowards to some swashbuckling fun in the second release when its released.

Was good to play, sorry I missed the rallyracing mode because I really enjoy my driving.
We should keep any pics or videos under wraps until release date I take it

Yeah - same from me... this was a really helpful event as we never get that many people around to test our stuff out. We were able to put together a list of things that needed ironing out and we appreciate the suggestions given on TS. Im dying to hear more feedback from you all - so feel free to drop by the bfpirates.com website and give us a shout out. Special thanks to khaerus for helping organize the event ... went a whole lot smoother than last year. *thumbs*

Guys, if I could, lemme ask you all to take the time to write up some of your impressions in the AAR thread that Bench started for us here:
http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlef...00-4-30-a.html
The Devs have given us permission to talk about the release as well as post screen shots, so go to it! (Of course, we may not distribute the build.)
Here's a link to the Pirates2 forum, where you can discuss the mod more:
