    I reinstalled battlefield 2 after a long hiatus, when I played I was one of the better players in the game. I was ranked in the top 15k players in most categories when I was playing, and pretty much gave the game up after they nerfed it for like the 5th time (when they released the super accurate aa missles patch) After I reinstalled recently my friend and I played on several different servers and they were rife with hackers, people going 80-4 on infantry only maps. on vehicle maps having jets precision bomb targets with ridiculous accuracy. for example I was hiding behind a tank on foot, guy in a jet bombs me without hitting his own tank, I was less than a foot away. They had no uav up either and was hiding on the blind side of the pilot so there was most likely no way he could see me, including they had no commander so no spotting, no uav, no scan etc.

    is it just me or is this game rife with hackers much like counter strike now?

    The quality of game play is very much dependent on who is administrating the server you play on. You and your friends should try out our POE server some time. I don't think you'll be disappointed. If vanilla really is your thing, it won't be long until we have an admin crew in place for our new vanilla server.

    IMHO, playing anywhere other than TG has always been a bad idea.

    I have to wait and find my new computer case in my storage unit to reinstall and play with you guys. I just moved to florida and 90% of my stuff is in a storage unit. A going away present from my friends at work was a new kick ass gaming computer case which I could install my 120 gb hard drive, my present dell case is a pos and too small to fit my hard drive in even though it has a slot for it. I need to spend like 3-4 hours moving stuff around the storage unit to find the case which sucks but I eventually will do it when I have the time. Then I will hop on your servers, you guys seem really cool so far and probably run one of the more respectable servers.

    Calling someone out for hacking unless you have proof is not something I reccomend. Keep in mind people have been playing vBF2 for 3 years now, so some are gonna be better then those just now getting back into the groove.

    I personally have stopped playing vBF2 because of accusations on me, and the fact that superior gameplay can be found in mods.

    Be prepared to see some really unreal K/D ratios in our server at times. Some of our players are really just that good. I'm not one of them.

    Axis is right. There are some very gifted players here. Also, do not forget that in POE, the weapons are much more deadly than vanilla BF2.

    Yup, M-16 is now the boom stick it wasn't in vanilla.

    Yes like Draeh mentioned, It would depend on which server and who's administering that particular server.

    But yeah, The game has been out for at least 2-3 years now, There are bound to be players who have honed their skills out on the field :P

    I use hacks. My favourite one is when I die 14 times in a row without even seeing where I was shot from.

    when you have people picking you off from across the map with a m4 and killing you in one shot with that gun you know somethings wrong.

    I have read about where there is a hack for jet pilots to see all targets on the ground, including soldiers show up kind of how vehicles show up when you have your bombs armed.

    I am not the only one who was complaining of hacking on the server I played on last time, two of my friends and like 10 people on the server saw people doing really strange stuff that could only be explained by pure luck or hacking. and considering they were doing the same types of things multiple times, it was most likely hacking. Like one shot killing someone with a pistol from full health.

    Even on |TG|'s vanilla server, you cant quite escape the hax as Drunken pointed out yesterday with no commander and supply crates. BTW: That hack that Drunken has comes standard with all BF2 games.
