Entry level laptops?
Hey, all --
My desktop is just about dead. I was going to just replace the video card, but the wifey suggested buying a new laptop instead. I don't have much to spend -- can entry-level laptops play BF2?
I don't need the settings on high, I just need to be able to play.

Thanks for the help!

Re: Entry level laptops?
Word. Life got in the way of video games for a while. I promise not the let that happen again.
Why's that? I don't know enough about modern hardware to know what the problem components are. I like that the Toshiba had 3GB vs 2GB and a 17" monitor.
Regardless, the main question remains -- will either of these machines run BF2?Last edited by MeanDrLily; 10-08-2008 at 11:30 PM.

Some sites rate the 4500M integrated graphics pretty well, at least for older games. And hey, it's only $400!

Re: Entry level laptops?
the 8200 on the compaq will have a very tough time i think. I used an 8400 GS for a time and it couldn't run any game.
