Bf2 @ bfcl
Greetings TG,
Noticed you've changed your flavor of ice cream lately and playing some vanilla.
It occurred to me that you might like to know that BFCL is going to begin it's next season of 5v5 Infantry Only competition in mid January after the holidays.
I know the 2142 TG squads have enjoyed this format a lot and thought you might like this format in BF2 competition as well.
Our Division Manager for BF2 is planning to incorporate some modded maps and perhaps expansion pack maps as well (all being hashed out on the BFCL forums now).
If this is of interest, let me know or drop by BFCL and stick your noses in our business!

Is this a game of forum chicken or is there just not any interest in the 5v5 IO format?Soul is the ability to make others feel good about being alive, no matter what their condition.

Re: Bf2 @ bfcl
That's absolutely fine. Don't think I would take offense to a team not being interested in a competition. I suspected as such because this forum seems rather less active than others here in the BF series but wanted to confirm.

Does BFCL still do PR?
I remember a while back that they did and it was a blast/

Re: Bf2 @ bfcl
I would like to see a PR league back at BFCL or perhaps it would be better to set up a PR ladder (less work for us admins lol).
From what I remember, after the first PR season a couple conversations I had with some of TG's game officers suggested that while some of the IHS thought the small 6v6 format was fun, that most TG'ers preferred to organize the mega 20+ variety matches every couple months vs. the week to week 6v6.
Maybe this has changed?
If so the other hitch is that I don't think there are many other teams at BFCL that do more than dabble in PR on occasion. ACR was a team who expressed an interest in PR league but beyond that, to get a decent league or ladder going we'd have to find half a dozen or so clans/teams out there interested enough to put it together.
FH2 is the BF2 mod that shows the most promise for a solid team base at BFCL currently. The 2.15 patch seems to be gaining steady traction and I'm seeing a lot more buzz about it now than when it first was released.
I would encourage the TG community to consider what interest there is in either and just keep me in the loop and I'll do what I can.Soul is the ability to make others feel good about being alive, no matter what their condition.

Re: Bf2 @ bfcl
A Moral Center, have you checked out the PR league?
http://prleague.com/
I dont know about recently, but in the past they had alot of different clans and did weekly matches.
There is also a very strong league in Australia that is going strong, many different teams fight each other on a weekly basis, 10v10.
There is a specific game mode for clan matches in PR (Skirmish mode) which removes vehicles and has a suitable map size for anywhere between 6v6 to 12v12.
I think there could potentially be alot of interest in this area, and certainly would have at least as big a player pool as FH2.

Re: Bf2 @ bfcl
I'll certainly take a look.
I generally don't try to recruit teams via other league sites. To be honest, BFCL is at its best when member teams refer other clans and communities of similar caliber to us. I don't know 1/10 of the PR community the way you guys do and my task as Relations Manager for the league is spread across all our game divisions so trying to recruit a division from scratch would have to be a bit on the back burner for a few months in a sense.
I'll start a thread in your PR forum when I get some back end things on the league side set up.

Re: Bf2 @ bfcl
Does anyone here play BF2 vanilla? The TG server seems unmanned most of the time. I would be interested in a 5v5 IO tourney if a team could be put together.

Re: Bf2 @ bfcl
There are a lot of people who play BF2v here but the server traffic get pulled in different directions with different mods. I think there are many people here who like different types of competition and matches within games to add a new dimension to their play. When we have like minded people on things like this they usually state the interest on the forum and then organize their team through PMs.
