Great games last night!
Thanks to all who participated in an overall fun night of BF2, especially to those that were in my squads. You guys were awesome and so was our CO.
On a side note. Im not one to really nitpick at the mechanics of the game because i feel everyone is dealt the same hand. Yeah, it gets frustrating at times but id rather play with a full server than just 9 of us.
So my question to you is how do we improve the overall game play? Or are we here just for nostalgic reasons. Favorite maps??

Re: Great games last night!
Me and reaper played like thie whole night of BF2.
- Flew a round of Littlebird with only 1 death while killing the MEC attack chopper twice whilce scanning little intruders into our territory
- Flew some Bomber in Quary.... the screams... the screams
- Flew some attack chopper on various maps
- Reaper SLs some infantry maps like pearl and karkant "to show em how itīs done". We got 1st Squad on Karkant of course harhar
- Drove around randomly on zatar wetlands with a tank and apc and somehow the enemy blakchawk / boats always ended up in our arms in the back
- Took the Blackhawk on Mashtur for some BF2 Roflcoptering
Basically a world tour for reaper who had barly played BF2 and never entered one of those vehicles. It was fun - the awkward BF2 fun of getting instakilled by so many things if you donīt have top of the food chain assets - but nevertheless fun

Re: Great games last night!
Was lots of fun, had a lot of bad 2142 habits seeping through , like hitting space bar for my shoot. I created a new account and I will be playing regularly, its nice to have something new to look at GG last night
Also I remember reading somewhere there was a trick to doing your tag right in BF2 searching forums now but havnt found it yet.

I had a blast last night. Was so good to play pub ranked bf2 with squads that worked together. I never played bf2 at TG before other than a little POE and PR.
I expected the server to be more of a pubbie wasteland with constant bunnyhopping and no one following orders. Glad I was wrong. I saw just about the same amount of hopping as I am used to seeing on our well run 2142 server.
I thought the admins did a great job of keeping the peace and dealing with rule breakers. The steady hand of admins enforcing our rules will go a long way to improving the quality of our game. We need the reputation of a server where admins are watching. This will attract the mature gamers we are looking for.
Lyra and reaper just tore some maps up! We had nothing to counter them it seemed. I think the other team won one map the whole time they were playing. If we can get some kind of counter to that sort of lopsidedness then the games would see more organized. We had limited options when reaper and lyra were running the sky.
I would suggest that more people step up and squad lead. This will help the culture of the server more than anything. Often there was the TG squad and then the pubs. I lead more than half of the rounds I played. I am a pretty rusty player, so I think I was less effective than I could be.
We also lacked commanders to organize the battle.
I think the caliber of the gameplay will improve as we draw in more regulars.

Re: Great games last night!
In addition to the comments already made, I am impressed with many of the "new to TG" players who already seem to be returning to our sever night after night. There have been many times when there is no shortage of SL's as these players are jumping on it because BF2v is their main game. These are the types of players we really need to get to the forums to build the local base.
Between running the " TG-style" squads and being a supportive SM in "new to TG" led squads we will bring more players in. You can just feel how many people are hungry for "idiot-free" BF2 and they get a great taste of it here. When the nostalgia wears off for some, these are the people that will build the TG base and ensure longevity for good server play and population.

Uhhuu... thatīs too much of a danger you making us out to be. You just making people scared. The enemy team had some pretty good pilots, too.
The AA vehicles in BF2 are pretty effective now with 1.5 in keeping choppers and planes at bay. The Stingers positions are sadly still lacking.

Re: Great games last night!
I had a great time too. I love all the maps from all the BF series and would love to see all the maps (Rolling Thunder, SF, POE, PR and Vanilla) all rolled up into one huge rotation! I would never get bored at the map selection then! What I can not stand is the same map rotation over and over no matter what the mod and servers with no team work or commo.
What I like best is the team play with you guys and all the maps in rotation we can get our stinking hands on!!

Re: Great games last night!
In an evil way I forgot how much fun it is to wipe out an entire squad with arty. Also definitely find myself utilizing the precision air support I worked on as CO in poe2. Nasty combo when you have both working fully.

Re: Great games last night!
Full server after 7:00pm (PST) and late into the night. I could do without the UAV following me around like a possessed ex-girlfriend...
It's been cool playing with the various TG Divisions that have now come back to play this patch. The guys from the 6th, 15th, 55th, E1st and many others are really a blast to play with and against. Of course, the 12th are alright too .
If we could get all these Divisions together on POE2 (see my Sig below) it would be a great cure for the bad Vanilla taste that builds in your mouth after a while...

Re: Great games last night!
Looks like my Internet connection is fine after having moved, so I can now play again. I'll be slowly relearning, and I want to thank everyone who make my return so pleasant.
I also had a blast last night (and the night before) but I feel the maps should be set to Infantry Only, at least for the early part of the evening. We had a small 8 on 8 game while getting bombed constantly. Was fun, but could have been a lot more. Is there a way to specifically edit a map load out, taking out just the bombers but not the armor, for example? And how about running Battle Recorder?
Great to be back!
