So is BF2 1.5 more realistic?
BF2 may have a wide gap in realism comparison compared to ArmA II or even Project Reality, but it is a game that is still fun to play. The main reason I didn't stick with it was because in combat of the excessive diving. It just seemed so unreasonable even for a game.
I would enjoy using tactical movements, going cover to cover, and in mid-distances to stop and kneel to fire upon my enemy. Yet these divers would just jump all over the place and dive no matter what distance they were at (even at 5m) and be successful at it.
So i'm just wondering how much of an impact as both the prone deviation and improved hit box detection affected the game? I throw in hit box detection as the more realistic the aiming system (with lag, you would have to AIM behind the person to actually hit them as they moved in the past) the better the game is for me and many others.

From my experience it has resulted in less gun fire and more grenade spam. Now rather than 2 people going prone and shooting it out with the crap guns they just ignore them, take cover behind a crate and start tossing grenades until one is dead. Vanilla will never be and was never meant to be realistic.

? dolphin diving and bunny hopping are not allowed on our servers. Ya we get some people that do it from time to time but I just report them and laugh cause it looks so funny.

From my experience, battlefield in all is way more realistic than most all other Shooters. Rainbow Six, ArmA, and America's Army are quite realistic, but check out a bunch of other games, like HALO, Counter Strike, Gears of War, the Conduit, all James Bond games, and you will see how even in it's lack of realism, Battlefield is realistic compared to other games.
