Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Re: (New) members who found us through forum posts
I found this site by doing a Google search.
A few questions;
1. Do you have to be a good player to join the games? (hope to get the game tonight)
2. dues?
3. mantory practices? I'm a casual player. Just got a new wife and have to spend time with her and family.

Sorry. We don't allow married people. We only allow hardcore gamers.

Skill is optional (tm).
Come as you are (if, that is, you like teamwork, respect, and all that jazz -- see our announcement forums, especially the BF2 announcements). You are welcome.
Dues? Well, this place ain't cheap to run. So, some of us have supporting memberships, and those come with certain benefits, including web space, email, reserved slots on servers, etc. Supporting memberships ARE a great way to show your support for this place (not just this game), but they are NOT required. Many of our best friends here, for whatever reason, do not have supporting memberships.
Congrats on your new wife, and congrats on your new gaming community.
jkat, welcome to you as well! See you guys on the server.Steam Community? Add me. | Join #tacticalgamer | Search Results Legend | New Posts Forum Filter | Postbox Toggle | Live Thread Review | One Line Results | Free Remote, Encrypted Backup

1.) No. 5 minutes on one of our servers will attest to that!

Uphold TG standards, and you are good to go.
3). Yes. Every game has Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to minimize smacktardness, and enhance the teamplay aspect of games. Read them, read the FAQs, and practice them.

We don't expect anyone to be a good player to play here. Wyz is a perfect example of that with his chopper abilities. What we look for are team players with the objectives in mind who communicates with their team. If you do those things you'll fit right in.

You also gain access to all of the games TG supports, not just BF2. We also have TG only tournaments that members may participate in.
We're a gaming community and not a clan. We have multiple clans and individuals who make up TG. Some have practices, scrimages, tournaments, etc. but none that are required.

Re: (New) members who found us through forum posts
I was on the PBF forums again and I was pimping TG again...
"#2 Do you really want to play on a server with idiots pulling the type of TK's that you talked about (the blackhawk/running over mines)
There are going to be tons of servers. Find some communities that you can play in and have fun. Tactical gamers runs a server and they have a community that does not require CLAN type commitment. They offer an atmosphere for fun team based play. The admins are fantastic and do not hesitate to remove the idiots. They also run forums where if you do get banned and you feel its not your fault they are happy to hear you out and re-instate you. I think you are going to find that the game community is going to slowly move toward this type of model. I think it's an awesome idea and playing on TG's servers I had the best gaming experience ever with all the teamwork and great admin work ..and it was just a demo.
Search out these communities and servers and I think you will be happy with what you find.
Best of luck. "
I get the full game today. So I hope to see you on the server.
I'm going to set up a paypal account and help support you guys, again thanks for rockin.
