(New) members who found us through forum posts
I've noticed that quite a few of the new faces around here stumbled upon us through forum posts instead of randomly selecting our game server. These forum posts about team work and objective based playing is a great way to attract the right type of crowd here to TG.
So what does that mean for you new folks?
Well, I guess what I'd like to see is that you return to those original threads that led you here and post about your experience. The initial posts sometimes appear as just advertising to the public... but with follow up posts by new faces, you're helping to solidify that original post.

Re: (New) members who found us through forum posts
Good idea. Anything that brings people to our server with a purpose (teamplay) instead of via random selection from the in-game browser will help improve the quality of games that we have here. Imagine a 64 player server full of like-minded individuals, all working together and communicating.
That would be gaming nirvana.

Re: (New) members who found us through forum posts
i found you guys through forumplanet forums, in some random thread regarding servers that promoted teamwork....and i'm so glad i did. IMO, if you don't play bf2 with likeminded individuals who want to play as cohesive squads, then you're not going to get NEARLY as much out of the game.
its the same with cs to me: i can't play unless i'm on a server where cts or t's are working together to complete the objective....otherwise, it totally ruins the game for me. in bf2, it is even more critical to play as a team because of all the different advantages available to you if you do (voice comm, commanders, etc.).
so when i found these forums, i was excted because i thought, "maybe this is it" lol.
and it was.

Please take a moment and RETURN to that same ForumPlanet thread and TELL people of your solid experience here, even if it's only a brief confirmation that we are what we say we are. Pay it forward, so to speak. Help someone else like yourself find this server and community. In doing so, you enrich your own experience here.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Re: (New) members who found us through forum posts
I also found this site through the PBF forums, probably the same thread as hollywood. While I haven't had a chance to play on your server yet, if it's even half as good as it sounds from reading the posts here, I think I'll have found a new home. I look forward to meeting you all and hope to see you out there.
Regards.

Done. At the very least it'll keep that thread bumped for more exposure.
BTW, here is the link to the post.

Re: (New) members who found us through forum posts
Halligan! Welcome!
Hey.. how do we pronounce that name, exactly?
Listen, this server either sucks and we just like to blow smoke in the forums or you've found the real deal. Which do you think it is? Now, everyone has a bad game. If your first few on our server aren't thoroughly-satisfying games (unlikely, but possible, especially given the oft-chaotic state of BF2 right now), give it a chance. You'll be glad you did.
Again, welcome. Enjoy the in-flight movie.

Welcome, Red_Dog! Please do see our main (not game-specific) announcement forum for signature image rules, as yours is too large, I think.
Man, I'm glad you decided to come say hello! Hopefully we'll cross paths tonight on the server!

The first part sounds like the name Hal (as in "Shallow Hal"), the rest just like it looks
It's the name of a forcible entry tool

Re: (New) members who found us through forum posts
Hey, I _also_ wandered over here through the BF2 forums at PBF. I finally was able to connect last night around 9:30, and I had a great deal of fun. This place is just what I was hoping for.
Props to everyone here!
