Lessee for starting off I'm going to run an estimate of only about a 250 MB at a max although 500 MB(not absolutely necessary) would be nice once we begin to upload files for the mod. PHP and a MySQL database are must haves for the site. Bandwidth wise I'm going to say any amount will pretty much work starting off with the site.

I can get a domain name without any difficulties.

This way we can move onto other scenarios incase black hawk down doesn't work perfectly or we decide to expand it, we're covered.

The only problem I see with spawn points inside the city is the US will not spawn at their airbase. This will not create the convoy type effect that needs to go with this map. The Mec would be surrounded from the start and the blackhawks and humvees would not be used as much. Just my 2 cents. Ill try to donate a few dollors in 2 weeks when I get back from vacation, untill then money is tight. Good job on the website, looking nice.

When we eventually convert it to a mod (if) then we can do the thing where when you take a spawn you have a limited number of spawns available at it, so you'd have to bring more people in via the convoy.

Keep in mind it's a map first. At this point, as the game play is very extensive and offers for many different scenarios without need for a mod, yet. Loading up another version of BF2 to play 1 map is not my idea of time efficient and worth it. I think the map would be better recepted if it was of course well done and fun, but secondly, easily downloadable and just tossed into server rotations, not put on a single server that requires everyone be in their modded version of BF2.

Well I'm saying if we go forward with a mod for multiple scenarios involving blackhawk repelling etc.

or naval warfare...

But still I agree that we should start with a map first.

drummer nice picks, gives us some ideas. Im going for a map right now and not even thinking about a mod. As for starting the map I definatly do not think the US should start anywhere but outside of the city at the airfield. If we want to make an "after" map then we can do that but right now no USMC should start in city. Hell we could even make a night time map just like in the movie.

yeah thats true. i'm working on a new map that will include the ground defences (machine guns etc) and when its done i'll post them up.
