Re: Maps we'd like removed from Rotation
Same here. I used to absolutely hate some of the maps but I found ways to enjoy all of them. Although I must complain about my bad luck as far as maps go, it seems I always join the server on the same 2-3 maps - it's either Dalian, Daqing or Zatar.

Re: I hate Kubra!
Indeed, I hate Kubra with a vengance. I hate it so much in fact that I was driven to say "I will apply testicle clamps to the next person to kill me with an air vehicle" over TS.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling that thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety is a miserable creature, who has no chance at being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. -- John Stuart Mill--

Even the 32-player version?

I like it. Lots of sniping to be done if you feel like it.

Re: I hate Kubra!
That describes half of the maps (not so much the walking though). I don't suppose we'll be seeing some incarnation of the no-air mod anytime soon, will we?

Re: I hate Kubra!
my only upset with it is like a majority of maps it has one team with the advantage of having an UCB while the other teams main gets targeted....
soon as you lose your main you lose all your air assets and you can kiss your commander toys goodbye...
its like that for a few other maps... even when you defend your main well as soon as you lose it your gonna be hard faught to regain it"Victory without Honor, is Pointless..."

Re: I hate Kubra!
I don't mind Kubra...but among the "hated" maps, I actually enjoy Songhua Stalemate the most. It's an engineers de-lite.
As long as you keep in mind that the only people moving from flag to flag on foot should be snipers, Kubra can be fun. There aren't "kill boxes" around the flags on Kubra, and there's usually a good spot away from the flag for a SL to set up and launch a prolonged infantry attack, if need be. Just make sure you turn the flag before artillery rains down...
It just takes a different approach to see the beauty in maps like Songua and Kubra...|TG-1stMIP|Coridon

Re: I hate Kubra!
All maps with planes are bad if you are on the opposing force of players like killrogg and santa. I think EA should step up the anti air defenses and or give the AT kit an AA weapon

You better check your mic. Sounded on my side like "I will LOAN my testicle clamps to the next person..."

The 64 is ditto of the 32, so why bother.
But man that action at the airfield is intense, as anyone playing last night down that way can attest.
I also wanted to put in a good word for Clean Sweep. This map is great for mobility once you're fighting back and forth on the island, mostly because there are enough vehicles to make a whole squad instantly mobile. Yes it leads to a less-defined front line, but that's why it's so great. I can't think of another map where you can get everyone mounted up so quickly with such variety -- buggies, armor, boat and helo... and there's enough routes to go you can often get to the objective before a jet or chopper finds you. Try that in Zatar!|TG-12th| Boot

Re: Maps we'd like removed from Rotation
Kubra, Songhua and Cleansweep should be removed.
Some people must think I don't realize how retarded airpower is when I fly but trust me I do. I simply cannot stand hardware maps without being in a chopper or a jet because if I'm on the ground it means I'm the one getting bombed. Maps like Daqing are terrible if you're on the ground, it's so big and vehicle oriented.
It's really too bad because some of the maps have amazing terrain/design for infantry fights, they're simply too big and have air. For example the south part of Dragon Valley with all the forests, it'd be awesome to fight in as infantry only with different (closer) CPs.
