Speaking of that, you remind me the developers once said the Specop remains invisible on radar and UAV scans and he's not.
Otherwise I'd reply now "hey if the devs say it then it must be true".

It is important to note that the SPec Ops comment was made in a pre-release artical-- sometimes features a developer wants to include don't make the cut in the end.

This statement was different-- he's speaking on functionality of a released product.

They don't realize there is a bug that causes the red marker to sometimes disappear on friendly mines. They may not realize there is a bug in the damage zones on the vehicles.

#14 In the upcoming patch, is the bug where sometimes the red warning marker is not displayed above claymore mines fixed?

Just last night on Daqing I was throwing mines out and only one of them had the marker. I do like that they're fixing some more obscure things as well, like making the vehicles actually climb hills.

Don't put too much stock in what a single representative says guys. One person isn't going to be aware of every single problem that exists and is being/has been fixed.

That bug is EXTREMELY common too. I've gotten it three times in the past 2 weeks. Friendly mines and infact friendly INFANTRY appear as red to me.

I sure hope they realize this.

yeh aka is dead on. the patch will have hundreds of little bug fixes and anyone dice guy won't know them all.

#1 When will the next patch (1.03) be finished for release?
We're working hard on finishing up the last few fixes of the 1.03 patch and getting it through testing for release. There are a lot of great fixes and we want to make sure its don'e right. That said, it will be released...when it's done.

Not to be the conspiracy theorist here, but this totally reeks of "It'll be done and included with the Special Forces expansion".

Sadly it doesnt work that way. Once we finish adding in the new things and fixes of current issues for the patch, we then move on to fixing the new bugs that have crept into the game. It's usually this beta period that takes quite a lot of time. So releasing lots of small patches doesnt really make much difference, as we still have the beta time and QA testing to go through.

Sorry, I don't buy that excuse. I know games that released small/medium, regular patches, and the scheme worked really damn well. Most games that I see releasing huge patches end up introducing more problems than they fix.

you know tarpan i said the same thing when the expansion was annoucned a week after BF2 release...it would not surprise me that they would do that...

they just have a problem with releaseing a game that was broke when it was released.

God I hope you are wrong although my gut tells me you are right. What is it lately? It seems to be getting worse, and worse.
