Commanders still have to think. It won't affect their scores but it will affect tickets. If artillery kills friendly players, the team will lose tickets.

Son, we're talking about public, ranked servers. These people don't have that kind of foresight..

It looks like defence will be really easy in the new map.

If there is no TK penalty, will it count as a kill in the overall?

If it will count against the team, why not against the player? Im not sure I see the wisdom of this.

Re: Battlefield 2 1.03 Patch Update
The wisdom of this is to not punish the CO when stupid people don't get out of the way of arty strikes that they know are coming to their location either because of the UAV and the big red circles or the voice that says, "artillery your area!"

Re: Battlefield 2 1.03 Patch Update
When i played in ranked servers commanders would be kicked for too many teamkills generally before the match was over. Either they ran into the arty by accident because theyre idiots, or it was intentional and was just kids being jerks.

I also hope they up the ammo amount of snipers, 6 clips wont do it if you find that perfect spot or just having a good round.
More ammo for spec ops and anti tank would be nice too.

I hope they don't make the Support class any more irrelevant...

Well, the "stupid" people that don't move out of the way of the artillery...doesnt that put more importance on communication by the commander, as in, get some confirmation from a squad leader that he understands artillery is coming to him and his squads area...MORE than just a right click "MOVE! ARTILLERY" ...VOIP is there for a reason, esp here at TG I can't believe the CO's are getting such a big pass on this.

What? The automatic notification isn't good enough for you? The CO isn't a concierge.

Principles of good Sandbox Etiquette:
Assume good faith - Be polite, please! - Work toward agreement. - Argue facts, not personalities. - Concede a point when you have no response to it, or admit when you disagree based on intuition or taste. - Be civil. - Be prepared to apologize. In animated discussions, we often say things we later wish we hadn't. Say so. - Forgive and forget. - Recognize your own biases and keep them in check. - Give praise when due.
Treat others as you would have them treat you

Re: Battlefield 2 1.03 Patch Update
It appears that practically it isnt good enough, thats why were discussing this now....or th CO isnt even using that...
Plus, I would hope for more coordination going on verbally than the auto-notify...how much effort is it to press B ( or V) and tell the squad what your about to do and listen for some sort of rgr that or copy that response? I mean how hard is that?
