Re: Inform new players of SM kick
Since the kicking is server-side script, they should be able to use the color codes to change the color of it to make it more noticable. Something like:
****** KICKING: TeamKiller55OMG FOR: Making room for a supporting member. (TacticalGamer.com)
****** KICKING: TeamKiller55OMG FOR: Failure to join a squad within 60 seconds. (TacticalGamer.com)
Where bold is the alternate color, would really show up much more. Also, if you kick THROUGH punkbuster, it will allow you to specify a kick message that will show up for them, instead of the default teamkill / kickvote.

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
I agree. I think one possible solution would be to make helos die if they were hit by one at, or one tank round. And get hurt more from small arms fire. There are a ton of choppers that go down in IRAQ from small arms fire, like ak-47's etc. Only takes a couple bullets in the right spot. Here i empty 4 clips that all hit into a chopper and it doesn't even smoke.

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
that cant be server-side though, the damage thing. I dont think putting an actual mod on the server would be a good idea

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
It kicks the non-SM who's been on the server longest. If they're all on your squad, I guess that says something about their loyalty.

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
I agree that the kick messages should be much more noticable. I don't like getting kicked (DUH!), but having a few seconds of warning from actaully seeing the message would be nice so that I don't freak out when the screen suddenly freezes and then drops back to the server browser.
Another thing I'd like to see (if it can be done) is the ability for kicked non-SM's to get back on to their orignal team even if they're winning. The other day I was gunning for Dark Viper in an attack chopper and I got kicked by the script while our team was winning by quite a large margin. (Dark Viper was airborne so I'm sure you could have figured that out.). I got back in just a minute or two but the game would just not let me rejoin my original team.
I was really frustrated that I was forced to leave my teammate without a gunner but it was much more annoying that I couldn't even get onto my own team after re-entering the game. I just really hate getting teamswitched. It drives me crazy.
Now, before you all start saying, "Well, millipede, if you don't liked getting kicked then why don't you just become a SM?" I most likely will (If my parents let me) once my next semester starts since I should have less homework with no math classes.AKA ContingencyPlan
