Inform new players of SM kick
Tonight I saw what appeared to be a TON of new faces tonight. Is it just me and I just haven't been on enough?
Anyways, just thought I would throw out the idea to all the regulars and supporting members to let any new players know about the supporting member kick script, since the message will only say "kicked for teamkilling". Hopefully this will eliminate any reservations they may have of coming back.

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
Just a thought, but maybe in the message that comes up in the load page. Just mention that you might get kicked for a supporting member, go to tacticalgamer.com for more details etc...

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
Nice idea. I know if i were new i might not come back if i got kicked a lot for an unknown reason, and that loadup message would assure that they would at least know why

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
If I am not mistaken, when the kick is started it shows up on the in game chat before they are kicked. I could be wrong.
Example: BORK02 is being removed for a Supporting Member. www.tacticalgamer.com for details.

its a really quick flash, and anyways, no one even looks up at that text, heck I can barely get people to read the text chat, sometimes Ive got to say something 3-4 times for them to get it

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
Most people probably dont read that, but they would read the message during the load time because they have to sit there waiting for an hour twiddling their thumbs. Stupid load times.

I'm going to be handing over some new scripts that try out the PB Kick variant. So hopefully, this won't be an issue.

Yeah, someone was asking to have "Fault" kicked because he was owning with that attack helo..........

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
Yeah attack helos need to be nerfed hard for this server =/ It's just way too easy... Every time I fly a helo in a map like Zatar or Sharqi my gunner gets close to or over 200 points and that's stupid. They aren't so deadly on pub servers because generally people dont communicate or stay together. We need to get some discussion going on server-side vehicle modifications. I personally would completely remove the chopper on Zatar and I don't know about Sharqi...when I get a good gunner in the MEC chopper and we take the TV station and proceed to rape the entire USMC team with 2 people, I can't help but think of how pissed they must be =/

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
The reason that people don't see the SM kick message is due to it looking like any other message. Good ways to make that message stick out is to change the color...
Any chance we can make that message Purple? That would stand out against the blue sky and the blue and green messages flashing past.
Just a thought.

Re: Inform new players of SM kick
Last nite, I saw someone who got insta-kicked on Mashtuur when they logged on. The name was GeorgeDubya (or something like that) and the font was bright orange, bold, and three times larger than normal. Needless to say it stuck out. Since it is possible to change the font, you might want to make the admin messages standout with something similiar.
