Check this out.
We could so do this, just send in a couple of pilots and win.
If you don't want to venture onto weird pubby servers, what do you guys think of having a 2v2 pilot championship here at TG? Helos vs Helos, Jets vs Jets, and the winners get something nice and shiny!

Helo fights should be without a gunner, getting one shot by TV missiles would be too quick.

munchkin, are you thinking of something like:
- Pick a map where each side has jets and a helo. Each side takes a helo and the jets. The helo has to capture a certain number of flags, while the jets attack the enemy's helo and defend their own helo. First team to capture x flags wins. Any vehicle ramming is an immediate disqualification. You could have a round timelimit as well, so that if neither team captured x flags, the team with the most flags at the end of the round would win.
- Come up with some kind of "racing course" for choppers and/or jets, where teams raced each other to complete a certain number of "laps" on a given course (to be made up and agreed upon by the teams). Maybe choppers would be required to fly nap-of-the-earth the entire time, and/or maneuver through some obstacles (like the big culvert on Kubra). Gunners in the choppers could be members of the opposing "team" (but on the same team in-game), to keep the pilots honest.
- Have pure dogfighting and/or bombing competitions for the jets.
Just some ideas.....

A lot of the guys that play in the TWL leagues and such practice using the TV missle and piloting.. Setup to the left of your target, F2, chopper spins right a little, right click, fire TV missle, back to piloting. It would not surprise me one bit if they're good at doing it against other choppers and not just ground vehicles. Originally Posted by Kilrogg

We can just make a map with a lot of choppers/jets if you really want to do this. It's very easy to do since you dont really have to work the terrain that much

Just as soon as I've made the adjustment to the bizarre BF2 flight physics I'm going to start hunting you guys down. I've been the victim of you bomber pilots far too long, time for some payback.
(although it seems munchkin is able to bomb me no matter what I am in ... Mi28... jet... shame about being on the same side eh?)
