We're having our first AAS mod Thursday night at 11 pm EST on Karkand(changed from Mashtuur). No downloads as it is all server side.
Attendance has been low. As this is the preseason, we're looking to tweak things a bit each week to address these kinds of problems.
So to that effect we're going to have less matches. Probably 2 per week. The schedule has been updated to reflect his. Also match times will be more geared toward primetime US.
Also we're redesigning this Saturday's match to be a real crowd pleaser. It's going to be vanilla BF2, Mashtuur City, at 8 pm EST. It's the most popular match based on the polling.
So this weekend's match is the one to make. I'm looking at it as 'if you're ever going to make a match, this is the one you'll be making'. It's the proof of concept match to see if the TG community can mobilize to fill a match. Frankly, it's success will in part determine the future or lack thereof for the League.
So post in your squad forums. Put the kids to bed early. Let's fill this match.

Fewer scrims per week will help put focus on the scheduled matches. This is a move in the right direction, Abra...
TO FELLOW TG'ERS: if you're able to play on server one on a given night, try out the scrim league instead. Abra has a good setup on TS for roll call and getting the match started on time, and if we are able to get 64 players on it can really be a blast...
Re: TG BF2 League: As Week One Draws to a Close...
Yeah, I think this structured league stuff is a great step in the right direction - but 3 games this week alone at random times is no good if you ask me.
I think the matches should be on a more set schedule at more reasonable times (i.e. not 6pm central). I think the Texas gang would agree with me on that point.
Anywho, I'll definately try to make this one tonight. Good job abra!
Re: TG BF2 League: As Week One Draws to a Close...
Ahhh, the humanity! This sounds like a lot of fun, but I'm flying out to San Jose, CA for the weekend so I'll be unavailable. I'll keep an eye out for future matches.
Re: TG BF2 League: As Week One Draws to a Close...
I agree that having fewer matches per week on a consistent day/time will help get everyone on the same page, and avoid other conflicts (like with the Tactical Mod playtest this week, which wasn't really a conflict but was close...).
Unfortunately I'll be out and about Sat nite but I'm still hoping to get my game on in the league soon!
Re: TG BF2 League: As Week One Draws to a Close...
Yeah I'm really torn on that schedule stuff. On the one hand a more consistent schedule would be nice and simple. But on the other the more consistent it is the more certain members with certain schedules are consistently left out. Having gotten a lot of support from those players as they seem to be left out of every other TG event, it's hard to turn my back on them now. But the League needs more people so if this does it then it's what we have to do.
Anyway. Roll call starting.

If possible, please change your ingame tags so that everyone on your squad has the same. It makes it easier to do the scorekeeping and all that good stuff. Thanks everyone!
