the music was frakin' horrible.
Some of the new stuff is cool. But nerfed C4? Great, spec ops that can now use C4 as 'nades.

These changes should definitely mix up game play a bit. I LOVE being able to see/shoot UAVs. As for the rest...we'll see. Overall I'll give these scheduled changes a tentative thumbs up.Beatnik

I don't see any change with AT rockets against attack choppers. It has always only taken 2 AT rockets to make an attack helo catch on fire. Doesn't seem any different in this patch.

Yeah I don't think choppers are going to be overly screwed. The way things usually go, if I'm piloting or gunning in a chopper, I'm generally either dead or alive. If someone starts slamming you with a .50 cal, it doesn't matter if they take out half your health in 5 seconds or most of it in 5 seconds: if you don't get away, you're going down one way or another.
Edit: But chopper vs chopper combat is finally going to be fun; the chainguns on the bottom are gonna be the important ones.|TG-Irr|TychoCelchuuu

Considering that many people feel the current state of the C4 throwing is a little overboard I can't believe they'd up the distance. You can already throw C4 over walls and just beyond the critical damage zone of the thrower so why up it anymore?
Is it a requirement that in order to eliminate a couple of glaring problems like bunny hopping and GL's we have to screw up the things that actually work?

Yea, that's the thing with the C4. It was supposed to be fixed and it looks like it is just as bad.. Whatever is going on there (firing just before jumping, or actually jumping then firing) shows that throwing C4 around like frisbees has not been taken out of the game. Believe it or not, even the clans that play competitively, the do-what-it-takes-to-win guys, want C4 tossing removed because they feel it's ruined the game. Entire teams will hop around the map with their C4 out throwing it at anything that moves and never use their gun..

People still seem to think this C4 tossing distance is a new thing. It's not. I've only seen it once on the TG server, but people get real good at the sprint, jump, toss combo, and you can throw it that far. It's really prevelant on the place they showed in the video, which is around the hotel in Karkand. On pubbies people rack up big kills when everyone is fighting between the hotel and the USMC spawns, C4 chucking over those fences.

I have to say this is my assumption as well. The "Nerfed C4??" means they were just playing with it at that point...those guys probably do some pretty wack-o stuff while tweaking settings for a good laugh.

Just wait for the buggy to go farther away; then the grenade will arm and explode. Alternatively, start playing spec ops more and chuck a C4 at it

I'm thinking UAVs are going to have a pretty tough time, yeah. Anytime you get shot, you'll be staring into the sky, right? Then you'll see the UAV, warn your squad, and they'll down it in a couple seconds. So much for that.|TG-Irr|TychoCelchuuu

I don't think UAVs are going to go down as often as you guys are saying. People generally have better things to worry about than look at the sky for a small plane. It's not like it makes sound or you can know where the CO is putting his UAV on the map.

One problem which I predict will emerge is that COs now have to think about the placement of the UAV. As was demonstrated in the video, any obstacles high enough can have irritating consequences for that particular asset. Also, I can see enemy COs spotting enemy UAVs for their troops, and thus enabling them to target it.

about the C4... The change is supposed to be the delay between throwing time and detonating... I guess I kind of noticed that delay a little bit. I would be glad if they made the delay a little bit longer though. It is supposed to get those jeep suiciders and C4 craziness.

The C4 tossing nuts are never going to go away. They never got rid of the engie class tossing around explosives in BF1942 either, and that was such a bunker killer as well as a mobile kubra wagon bomb.
The problem with the C4 is the stickiness. I think if they are going to still allow you to C4 toss they should not allow it to stick to anything... let it slide and roll after the toss. It would make suicide jeeps a bit harder, and the suicide choppers impossible.
