I think having the UAV visible and that fragile is going to make it pretty much useless. As soon as it's seen it'll get taken down.
I like that the choppers can be taken down by less rockets (helicopter and AT) because it'll allow infantry to defend themselves better from choppers and it'll allows me to kill the lousy helo pilots with out wasting tons of ammo. What I don't like is how quickly the chopper gets taken down by .50's. They are already deadly against choppers now, making them anymore powerful will make the chopper useless. Also, if they weaken choppers this much they also need to make jets significantly more fragile or they will become even more important in deciding the outcome of the game. (keep in mind that this is all coming from someone who flys attack helos and jets very often)
I think the arming distance on the toob is long enough. It prevents suicides but gives skilled players the ability to shoot around corners. I think it will result in the toob being just as useful in tactical gameplay but will prevent the idiots from doing kamikaze attacks.
I didn't notice any real change in the C4. Even if you can throw it further I don't think it'll be huge problem unless people start using it as super-grenades. (Even then, it wouldn't be terrible)AKA ContingencyPlan

I have hit choppers with 2 AT rockets and had them survive, on several occasions. If you don't miss a shot with a .50 cal, you do a number on choppers now. If you spray till you overheat, you will miss a lot of shots on a moving chopper. I agree with mayfield about the stickiness of C4. I would actually like to see it take time for a spec opps to make c4 stick, almost like when an engi picks up a mine.

C4 in the video is absolutely normal throwing distance. Might be that this video was made on an older version of the game. There are 2 separate clips of the UAV in action. In the first, it comes into extremely close proximity to the smokestack, and then explodes. We can safely assume that it hit the stack. In the second clip, the player shoots the UAV until it is downed. I think you're getting the two confused.

2 AT hits (unless you hit some weird part that doesn't/barely takes damage like the end of the tail) on an attack chopper takes you either to flame point or in the red, depending where exactly you hit (there's a minor variance in damage). Either way I don't remember surviving 2 AT rockets more than like 3-4 times in my BF2 career. You're rarely at 100% hp in a chopper and even if you are, just shoot at the chopper a bit after you AT it twice as it's flying away and you'll take it down.

Well, I've hovered in artillery with an attack chopper before, and the UAV's profile is so small it's highly unlikely an artillery shell would hit it.

I wonder if you can jump out of a chopper and land on it(the UAV) then place a few stick of c4 of it then dive off into a Mission impossible pose as the uav is blowing up in the backround
