Negative Publicity
While browsing another forum, I came across a somewhat disturbing topic:
http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/gen...topic=26013132
Topic creator's post:
I was playing on an unranked Tactical Gamer server earlier today, and had the best damn round just sky cowing.
It didn't matter if it was a tank, AA, or even a lone US Spec Ops out on his own, I cow'd them all.
The best was when I slammed a C4 laden tub of fun into a Chinese AA unit that the US stole. He had seen me a fair bit off, but it did not matter! All the missiles missed and several dozen AA cannon hits only took just over a third of my health. That guy sure was pissed.
Anyone else have any good sky cow stories?
I've held off on replying till I decide which way to go with my response. Should I go with
"Please read our rules and SOP's."
or
"Never come back, I hate you!"
or
"Hey buddy, what's your name in game? I'd like to say...'hi'...sometime." <_< >_>

Re: Negative Publicity
Think that's taking the transport chopper (Sky Cow) and intentionally ramming that into someone.

Re: Negative Publicity
Please ignore posts like this. Nothing productive will come from arguing with players like that.

Re: Negative Publicity
His in game name was basically the same(minus the 2000) if admins care to look out for him in the future.

Re: Negative Publicity
I had a transport chopper ram purposely into my blackhawk today (which was full of my squad) and it gave him a kill, and each of our squad members got -2 or -4 (treated as suicide). I was told that this wasn't at all against the rules and it was legal to do.

Ya in nex's squad we got hit a couple times as well. Once or twice...sure I can see that...it happens. But this was a continued goal of his over at least two rounds. I'm sure not only is that heavily frowned upon here but is illegal in the sense that he obviously can't be following commander or squad leader orders if that is his goal the entire round.

Anything that ruins the enjoyment of the game for a majority is typically frowned upon, whether their is a rule or not.

Re: Negative Publicity
Guys, this may not be against the rules, but if you know me you know I won't hesitate to send someone packing for "immature" behavior. Grab me on TS and I'll take care of the problem.

Ignore the post.
If you see someone acting like this on the server, don't be shy about making a polite statement in the public chat. We monitor the chat very frequently, and we will act on it if we think someone is wasting a slot on the server.Peace through fear... since 1947!

Re: Negative Publicity
You know, there are some things that are not spelled out in the rules that are against the rules and spirit of the Tactical Gamer community: using a troop transport in a way that it was not intended for is among them.

Re: Negative Publicity
As mentioned above, despite the lack of a specific rule prohibiting this behavior, it is still within the admins' rights to kick/ban players who do this.
See item 3 from the Tactical Gamer Primer:
3) Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing superior real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging advantages provided to players by the design of the game engine.
