Re: Tactical Mod (Sunday) Nights!!!
Seems it already has it's own server, I downloaded this today, went to the internet server list and there was only 1 server on it, the TG Tac Mod server, though it was empty at the time

Re: Tactical Mod (Sunday) Nights!!!
Can we not do this anymore? Spending half the map waiting to respawn because you got repeatedly raped by a cobra or are a medic and nobody's reviving you sucks.

Re: Tactical Mod (Sunday) Nights!!!
It does get frustrating if you are getting wiped out alot. I wouldn't mind seeing the respawn time shortened a bit.

Re: Tactical Mod (Sunday) Nights!!!
I think it's really an excessive modification, since most of the time we got killed not because we were rushing headlong with guns blazing but because of situation an enemy got us to. Increased respawn time would be enough for players to value their lives.

In a community called Tactical gamer, these should be the standards for any squad.
In my humble opinion, we, people, make it a great or frustrating game, not the mod (only)... Mod only gives us the tools and battlefield, it is upto us how we will use them.
EDIT: added (only) after mod to correct my meaning as: it is the combination of the game/mod and people's style which will determine the final quality of the experience.Last edited by John CANavar; 02-27-2006 at 01:55 PM.

Re: Tactical Mod (Sunday) Nights!!!
John,
We all understand what you are saying. However...it is very frustrating when you are operating inside of the environment you mention above and you keep getting raped by air power. There is nothing infantry can do. It is one thing to get a longer repsawn time due to being rambo but it is quite another when Maverick and the Ice Man are bombing you into the 80's (that was for Bommando). I do like a longer respawn time, I just think (and I think the others think this as well) that a minute is just too long. However, the flip side to this is that the extended time is good because it gives you more time for the medic to pop smoke and get to you. Which are things that, if you're not in an organized in-house squad like 1st MIP, you have no control over. It doesn't work well for the half of the team left in pick-up squads and staring at their spawn timers.

Re: Tactical Mod (Sunday) Nights!!!
Indeed you have a very good point. About three weeks ago all the 1stMIP had gone to bed but me, and I joined a squad of five that had been playing without a medic because "that kit can't really fight, and healing people is boring".

The tactical mod has been updated to v1.0 and the server should be udpated by Sunday evening. Make sure to check out the website for download & installation instructions. Please note that there are new maps from totalBF2 map pack 3.
