    General Advice for TeamSpeak

If you ever have to reinstall TeamSpeak (as I did, after reinstalling XP yesterday), make sure to turn off voice activation.

I was apparently telling everyone on TS tonight exactly what my squad (actually it was Thundeer's squad - sorry about that dude) was doing on Oman for a good 5 minutes, despite I think 4 people trying to tell me I was talking on TS. I heard something from different people, but didn't hear them clearly. I thought I had somehow misbinded TS talk command (I completely forgot about the default voice activation 'feature'), and couldn't figure out why people were still hearing me.

A few embarrassed minutes later, I returned to have our team destroyed by the MEC. Good times.

I had a similar problem a few days ago after my hard drive ate itself. I caught the TS problems before I got in game (I was still in the default channel when someone told me I was sending static), but I spent 30+ seconds just sitting in a chopper before I realised I hadn't setup my joystick in the controls menu. "This thing sure is taking a long time to power up."

We had one guy during the day one time, constantly use the wrong talk key and was chatting to our squad over teamspeak. It was funny the first couple times, but he just kept reverting back to TS after about 5 minutes. I guess he had just remapped the keys and wasn't used to it.
