Suggestion: Weekly Schedule
Hi guys,
I've been playing at TG for months now and one thing that is great here is the continuous desire to addapt to many new mods/maps/expension that come out. One of my personal favorite: TAC MOD.
That said, I'm now getting confused with the weekly schedule... I don't know all the official nights for SF, TAC MOD, VANILLA, and now with EF that just came out with the test nights on Tuesday and Saturday, it seems harder to keep track of the night schedules.
How about having a virtual WEEKLY SCHEDULE that shows each day of the week with what MOD is being played on Server 1? Something simple, clean, and clear. Maybe it would help with attendance?
I guess this could be added in a sticky post and edited when needed...?
Just an idea...
Cheers!|TG|drjones666

Re: Suggestion: Weekly Schedule
I'm wondering if we shouldn't consolidate how many different events we have. Seems like almost every night something is going on. Don't get me wrong, I like the new things and am glad to see the community embrace them, I just don't want to see attendance dip. Seems like if server 1 is running 1 thing and server 2 another, rather than 64 players working together on one server we end up with 20 on each server

Re: Suggestion: Weekly Schedule
Good suggestion. We need some kind of calender of dates and times to keep things clear.

Re: Suggestion: Weekly Schedule
Well we can't force people to play something they don't like. I am more concerned with completely shutting people out because some are only able to play 1 or 2 days each week.

I don't know, but I'm thinking the schedule should be posted on in the BF2 forum since it would be about BF2 games...

Re: Suggestion: Weekly Schedule
Hi guys,
I'm still very much interested in seeing a tentative reference schedule here for BF2 Nights. I mean, there's been so many changes lately, I just don't know what night is which anymore. Plus, there are tons of sticky at the top of the forum, and some of them are missing recent important Night Events like the Tuesday and Saturday EF nights.
I think that with all those stickies, combined with the many recent changes, it creates confusion and overall this might seriously affect game attendance.
I did a tentative schedule according to the current posts in the forum:
BATTLEFIELD 2 WEEKLY SCHEDULE
SERVER 1
--------------------------------------------
MON:
TUE: 2PM (8PM GMT) TG EURO (Euro Forces) | 8PM- Euro Forces
WED:
THU:
FRI:
SAT: 8PM: Euro Forces
SUN: 8PM: Tactical Mod
(maybe I am missing some?)
Here's my suggestion:
a) make the text schedule post a sticky on the forum
a) remove all the sticky posts about event nights
b) in the text schedule, link the event nights to their respective original post announcement (the ones that were stickies, but were reset to regular posts).
I think that this solution would free a lot of space at the top of the forum, and at the same time make it clear for everyone what events are taking place when.
Of course, it would be important to keep this schedule up to date according to the future changes.
What do you think?
type of text schedule. In this post, you could then link the events to their respective announcement posts and remove these posts from their sticky state.|TG|drjones666

Re: Suggestion: Weekly Schedule
Agree. Something as simple as a sticky in the forum for a text calendar is a good idea to keep everything straight.

Re: Suggestion: Weekly Schedule
I agree also, one sticky thread to show all the events going on
split by servers, and showing all events; EF nights, SF nights, Euro nights, tac mod etc
This consolidated list would be especially good for new people to TG BF2

Re: Suggestion: Weekly Schedule
Hey this sounds good to me also. I work 10 days (24 hour) shifts at the fire station so I loose track of what day or night it is when I'm at home. Some type of sticky note schedule would be a great reminder as to what and when events are going on.

That said, thanks Asch for adding the schedule!!|TG|drjones666

Re: Suggestion: Weekly Schedule
Actually, the users should be directed to the rules, sops & announcements section first. We've had to create the stickies in the general forum because people have been lazy.

I understand the rationale Asch. It was just a suggestion.
