Questions about new maps
I know this might sound like a dumb question. By any chance can we put some of the NAW Maps in rotation on regular vanilla. There is a couple of good infantry maps that where a whole lot of fun on Monday's Mayhem Night. (Seige, Bridge..)
I mean as long as the maps give the author credit for making them I don't see whats the big deal. It's not like where taking credit for the whole NAW mod.
The only difference is we wouldn't get the tweaks for the weapons. In my opinon the weapon tweaks are overpowered (sniper/shotgun, flying is crap etc.) The stinger ain't that great either.
Today I was messing around and moved some NAW maps into my BF2 levels folder and started a local server to test. Levels seem to run o.k.
If it can't be done, no biggie. I was just looking for some new maps to try. I kinda like the way the weapons handle in vanilla.
Just an idea.

Re: Questions about new maps
I will bring up tp the other admins and see if it is possible to do. You have to remember that if a map comes up and players do not have it they will get dropped from the server.

Re: Questions about new maps
Yeah, I know if people don't have the map they will get kicked. Maybe the Tac Mod or private server nights?
Just looking for some variety. We have all played the main maps to many times.

Re: Questions about new maps
Let's not put anymore maps in TacMod that were not made for TacMod =/. Most of them just turn into boring standoffs because of the lack of cover or inadequate flag placement.
