Yes. It's apparently a whole new system. From what I understand all the scrim ribbons will be included when it's released.

Re: Congratulations award winners (7/17/06)
There's no reason for nominations to be put on hold. There's some backstage stuff going on, that when completed, will mean that each of us puts a single, unique-to-ourselves URL in out sig, and it will automatically generate the correct ribbons (and classes), in the correct order.
In the mean time, other games are handing out ribbons as normal. Once the technical stuff is finished, I'll add new nominations into the database.
Campaign ribbons are being produced as quickly as possible after matches take place. Other GO's let me know what's needed, but as Bommando is an admin here, I presume he's aware of what BF2 match ribbons are required.

It is the rule in war, if ten times the enemy's strength, surround them; if five times, attack them;if double, engage them; if equal, be able to divide them; if fewer, be able to evade them; if weaker, be able to avoid them.

Yes, it takes a lot of time since Bommando paints each ribbon awarded by hand for that special touch.

I thought he hand-knitted them from macrome.
