Tacmod scrim - TG vs. TG (Saturday August 19th, 7pm EST)

PLEASE READ THIS SEVERAL TIMES TO FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH IT BEFORE ASKING ANY QUESTIONS (as there has been some minor changes to the rules sections).

This is the signup thread for the TG vs. TG in-house TACMOD 1.x scrim (Version will be later than 1.3, but is still TBD).

We will be following a delayed sign up process in order to give people plenty of opportunity to find the thread.

Sign up opens: Thursday 27th July 2006 @ 9PM EDT. Until then, this thread will be locked.

    Campaign Ribbon:

    TBD

Please read all of this post before asking any questions.

    What not to post:
    • "What time will it be in my time zone?" Work it out.
    • "It's not fair! I keep getting pushed out by Supporting Members!" Become one.
    • "Can you change the date?" No, the date is confirmed.

    Opponents:

This is an in-house TACMOD scrim, TG vs. TG. (32 vs. 32)

    Date: Saturday August 19th, 2006. 7PM EDT (GMT-4)

Use timeanddate.com to work out your offset.

Players will be required for TeamSpeak roll call 1 hour before the scrim.
Anyone who is not present 30 mins before the scheduled start time will be moved to the bottom of the signup order. Unless you contact me prior to the scrim, there will be no exceptions to this rule and you will lose your spot. Chances are we will have a lot of reserves for this one.

    How to sign up:

Please only post if you can participate and are sure you will be able to make it on time for roll call. No maybes, no whining about how you would like it to be held on another day and no whining about time zone differences.

Along with your post, please state your kit specialties and other skills with vehicles or roles. COs and SLs in particular should express their interest early. You should also state if you belong to a TG division, so we can roster you with your teammates.

The following in-house divisions will have a reserved 6-man squad available for the scrim. If I do not receive a PM with their full roster by Thursday, July 27th 2006 (8pm EST), their position will be forfeit and their members will be left to sign up independently.
    • 1st MIP
    • 7th
    • 12th
    • 33rd
    • Irregulars (SM's only)

Everyone else will need to sign up independently. The division of the squads is still being worked. The overall makeup of the squads will be determined by the CO of the round.
    • Players will be signed up on a first-come first-served basis.
    • Supporting Members get precendence in the order they sign up, then Non-Supporting Members afterwards. Your SM status at the time of signup determines which list you will be on. Once you post, you cannot become a SM later to work your way up the list.
    • You can pull out, but if you reconfirm, you will find yourself at the bottom of the roster.
    • You may not hand over your spot to another specific player. Your spot will be given to the next available player.

Anybody who doesn't make it on the active roster will be a reserve. I urge reserves to still turn up for TeamSpeak roll call, since there are always a few no-shows.

    Server:

The match will take place on the TacticalGamer Battlefield 2 Server #1
    IP: 64.34.161.157

The server will be set to 64 Players for the scrim.

    TeamSpeak Information:

There will be separate teamspeak servers for this scrim.

The server password will be given out on TS before the match.

Team Killing before the match is forbidden!

    Maps in order of play:
    1. Steel Thunder
    2. Wake Island
    3. Inishail Forest

    Rules:

Hopefully you are fully aware of our rules. In addition to these, there will be a few other things that players will need to be aware of:
    1. Even if we rotate teams during the match, the teamspeak channel you start in will be the channel you will remain in for the duration of the scrim. Once you are in your channel you are not to change channels under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. If the opposing team's CO has a question for me they are to be the only one to come to the opposing team's channel to ask questions. They must make their presence known immediately by interrupting whoever is talking.
    2. Everyone must switch to the other team at the end of the round BEFORE you go AFK for a break (this ties in with #3). Once you are in the game and on your set team for the round, you are not to switch to the other team under any circumstances or at any time unless specifically told to do so by me.
    3. When a round ends, you need to leave your squad before going AFK. People are going to need to switch teams and create new squads and by you staying in your squad to take a break, you slow this process. If you stay in your squad before going AFK, you will be kicked and your position filled with a reserve.
    4. Squad leaders are not to create their squads until given the OK by their CO (who will receive the OK from me).
    5. Trying to gain intel on your opponents by violating rule 1 or 2 is directly against the primer and you will be banned from the server and all future scrims.

These additions are not meant to sound harsh, but it will be a long night with 3 rounds and order will be kept to keep things moving along smoothly. When you sign up, you must also state "I have read and understand these rules". There should be no questions about these during the scrim.

I'm in. I have read and fully understand the rules.
The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving.

Sign me up, not a clan member but my personal friend, thegreatnardini, is trying to play so it would be nice if I could come along as well to see TG teamwork in real action. And I read and fully understand the rules and such. Any kit is fine with me.

*I understand the rules* I'm pretty sure JMJ knows that I'm to be teamed up with the 7th and that I don't care about a kit.
