Pubbin!
So I wanted to share my short adventure of pubbin this afternoon
I had 40 minutes until our company came over for a bbq, so I grabbed my favorite kit: Sniper. I went to a full map that was perfect for sniping: Wake Island. I spawned Chinese (I prefered USMC), so I chose the northwestern point for spawning. I quickly setup shop aiming at the USMC arty island when I saw this gem of an issue
What the hey is that???? Never did figure it out, but I quickly left that map and went to a full Cleansweep where I got a new long distance kill of ~450m with the L96.
So, anyone ever see anything like that before? People were typing in chat "what kind of hack is this?????"

Re: Pubbin!
Sounds like that commander hack I've heard about, allows unlimited supply, arty, and vehicle drops. Just search for it on google video, seeing the retards in action. Although, the screen is kinda cool looking lol.

Re: Pubbin!
Yeh its one of those hacks that pubbies sometimes use, which I why I limit all my pubbie play to a single server that has good admins on it.
Even saw a hack once with an Abrams firing the artillery weapon...

Re: Pubbin!
Yeah, I've only seen something like that once before, maybe a month ago. I was on Karkand at the Suburb and my mini-map started swirling like a maelstrom. We were under attack but each time you killed someone they "froze" exactly in the position in which they where killed; i.e., if they were standing they remained standing, looking like a wax statue. Then I saw a ba-zillion buggies come down on the USMC artillery like in that screenshot and decided it was time to find a new server, heh.

Re: Pubbin!
Never seen that before thankfully. The best part of that shot is the guy who looks like he is jumping away next to the arty.

Re: Pubbin!
I've seen that, it's probably the infamous msx security hack that PB has officially said it can do nothing about. Why even bother with pb... just increases loading times and stops cheaters that don't know how to google "BF2 cheats".

Because most cheaters aren't bright enough to avoid detection and will end up on the perm ban list long before they can do any harm.

Re: Pubbin!
First time I saw this, I was on Wake as USMC and we had airfield. There was a break/calm in enemy arty about 10 seconds long between barrages and two US spec ops at the PLA arty could not keep the arty down due to the amount of supply boxes that were dropping on the arty.

Re: Pubbin!
I'm starting to see that hack a lot on the pubbie servers. Usually it's just harmless mischief but a few have been using it to lag servers or abuse the other team.
The account system makes it a pain in the butt to kick vote these people (on top of the already near impossibility of achieving a successful kick vote) because they can switch account names frequently.

Re: Pubbin!
Thanks for reading my mind and responding for me! Some people (and I have no idea WHY) feel that if you can only stop 90 out of 100 cheats, it's pointless to try and stop the 90. I've never quite understood that.

Also, if you're wondering like I was, it doesn't seem that there's a way to "swim" up the river of Vodniks by entering and exiting vehicles rapidly.

What about building a pyramid of supply crates?
