    Current Standards TC BF2

    Hi

    I`ve been away from the game for about a year now but the man is coming this thursday with a brand new broadband connection so am really looking forward to playing on the TG servers again.
    I was wondering if someone could bring me up to speed as far as what I would need to update BF2 to the standards that are required to play on the TG servers.
    Right now as far as I can tell I have the original game installed as well as the first patch that was released bringing me up to ver1.1.2.
    I hate to ask questions that I know are answered in these forums somewhere but I am still on dialup and it took so long to get to the point where I could post this that I was hoping someone could help with info/links so I might get a headstart.
    Thanks in advance for any help and am looking forward to playing with you guys again.

    Current Patch
    The 1.3 patch can be obtained from:

    * EA Downloads Page
    * Alternative Sources
    * TG Downloads section (for Supporting Members only)


    Booster Packs

    * Armored Fury
    * Euro Force

    The Booster Packs can be purchased and downloaded through the EA Downloader. These are required for continuous play on Server 1.

    Custom Maps

    * Inishail Forest can be downloaded here. It is also part of the Tactical Mod Map Pack so it is not necessary to download the standalone map if you have that Map Pack.


    Mods

    * Tactical Mod: Download Information for play on scheduled TacMod Nights.
    * Special Forces can be purchased through the EA Downloader. This Expansion Pack is not widely played, but may still be occasionally seen, on TG's BF2 Servers.
    * Other Mods: From time to time, the Private Server may have a different mod on it according to Supporting Member requests. Every effort will be made to make those mods available in the TG Downloads (for Supporting Members only) section.

    Patch 1.4 is being released tomorrow, so you won't have to deal with 1.3, and you sir are lucky.

    *Looks back* Dang...BF2 was a whole lot different back then.

    Ironclaw, welcome back! You will defiantely want to checkout the TacMod once you get setup with the 1.3 patch for vanilla. Try and join us Thursday or Sunday nights on server #1 for TacMod goodness. We also have a TacMod scrim for this Saturday and have openings if you wanted to dive-in head first It is an in-house low-key friendly so no need to feel like you will be pressured (although we won't accept failure :P)

    Yep got all the links bookmarked and ready to go and have been getting used to the controls in SP.
    I`m really looking forward to the changes that have been made to BF2 as I really enjoyed playing MP with the original vesions.
    You can pencil me in for Sat if you want because diving in headfirst is what I do best.
