Discussion: Battlefield 2 / Battlefield 2 - Ranked Vanilla - 2nd BCT/ 4th Force Recon Squad Updates - As some of you know, there have been some big changes brewing in the 2nd
As some of you know, there have been some big changes brewing in the 2nd BCT and 4th Force Recon squads, and now that all of the inter-squad logistics have been sorted out, we are announcing the changes so everybody is clear and as to not cause confusion on the server.
The 2nd Brigade Combat Team is now functioning under the command of Bubba and Trooper (currently MIA on this subject). It is now a Mulitgame squad playing most of the popular FPS's that TG supports. The BF2 players of the |TG-2nd| have joined up with the 4th Force Recon and will continue their actions as members of both the 2nd and 4th.
The 4th Force Recon has become the home to the 2nd's BF2 players. It is also still functioning as a specialty SpecOps/ Sniper squad. I (Acid) am head of the 2nd's BF2 side. All of the 4th's BF2 players who were not already part of an inhouse squad have joined the 2nd BCT. The other players who are part of other squads are still part of the 4th and will continue to practice together.
So the 4th and 2nd have merged their BF2 players.
I want to make it clear that neither squad has been destroyed.
Thanks,

3) Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine.
We are still seperate squads, just we have become closer connected in our activities. We haven't decided on tags for BF2 yet, but I think we will be adopting the |TG-4th| tags.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:
