    I ask you for your opinion...

    Sassy brought this subject up on TS a few weeks ago, and I feel it worthy for general discussion:

    Do you think Exploding_Silver sounds like the Geico Gecko?

    At the time, Silver had no frame of reference (being English and all), so I shall now provide a sample to compare to.

    So, go forth and discuss!

    LOL...I think Exploding Silver's accent sounds more like a cross between the Geico Gecko and Austin Powers, just ask him to say "That's Groovy Baby" and you'll know what I'm talking about. On a side note, American chicks dig on English and Austrialian accents (not so much Canadian ), do European chicks feel the same about American accents?

    Exploding Silver's accent adds a sense of immersion into the game. POE is set in Europe, after all.

    And he's a good SL. Likes to chat a lot, that's spot on.

    It depends what time of day you play
    I usually stop SLing about midnight English time, because I'm tired, thats 8pm EST, then I play SM

    I suggest you check out the distinguished SLers thread, note any new names to you and join their squads...
    and although not a ribbon winner yet, i suggest you add Panzerhans to the list...hes good

    Silver's definitely one of the better SL's, as a talker and a tactician.

    But the Geico Gecko? Not really.

    So, I was speaking to a Geico representative regarding getting repairs to my car for an accident I had a little while ago, and half way through my conversation with him I was put on hold. I half expected an Englishmen to come back to tell me to spawn back engineer to perform repairs to my own vehicle.
