Idea to pacify those who hate PoE
How about mixing PoE and BF2 nights? Something like tacmod 2 nights/week, BF2 2 nights/week, and PoE 3 nights/week, with the PoE server simply disabled on BF2 nights?
I'm sure I'm not the only person who often just ends up joining the PoE server because that's where the action is, rather than because I have any special desire to play PoE. If it were disabled, the action would no doubt find its way back to the vanilla server.2142: |TG-Irr| Silverfish

I can personally attest to this. A mixed mod schedule was the the number one thing we learned didn't work when we ran the BF2 League. Sometimes when I try to sleep, I still hear their screams.

I like how PoE has gotten the TG server filled up so early in the day. It's filled with a lot of people who don't know how TG "goes", but a lot of them are learning.

We won't stop running PoE every day at the week, but we will continue to have event days on the other server. Lots of people are building up a strong desire to play the old vanilla maps, and that may be enough to allow us to have a vanilla night on the other server.

BF2 at TG goes thru phases...once people get usta the new stuff they will go back to the old or want something new again. it all works out
and im jealous of those people who dont like it but can play, cause i cant play and love itthat sounds like a good idea trooper.

All righty, it was just more of a random thought than anything. It's a shame running SF/AF/EF didn't work out - I didn't know it had been tried, as I've only recently come back to BF2.

POE has awaken the beast again. I dont think it would be wise to change something thats obviously working. I do think its great idea to have events on other servers. I for one miss karkand and mushtuur or whatever it was called.
On another subject. Its just amazing to see so much new people on the POE server, Imagine how many people we would get if we where ranked, would be a nightmare to handle for the admin. If we go ranked on 2142 we are going to need more admins....

If there are enough players who want to play vanilla, we can set one night for them all to get together on one of our servers. It just takes players to seed it and get the games going. We used to run vanilla nights on Friday nights that brought in around 50 players.
