Re: 1EU vs TG scrim discussion thread
Nah the bleed we're talking about is ticket bleed, and its completely server side. For instance, vanilla Karkand has no ticket bleed. In our server, there IS ticket bleed. Both sides need at least 4 flags to stop ticket bleed, 5 to put ticket bleed on the enemy. We like it because it puts more emphasis on flag control instead of simply kills.

Re: 1EU vs TG scrim discussion thread
Are you guys willing to give that up for the EGLN broadcast? Its just a better format, because 50% will take so long.

Re: 1EU vs TG scrim discussion thread
Are we MEC? I know I would prefer the bleed as it makes for much more interesting strategy and I am willing to forgo the celebrity spotlight.

Re: 1EU vs TG scrim discussion thread
We have set bleed up on all maps, so that any side with more than half the flags can cause bleed. Some maps, like Karkand, by default only bleed if one team has ALL the flags.
It is not a big deal to us, we can be flexible on anything.

Re: BF2C vs TG scrim discussion thread
Thanks to Dronetek and EGLN|Miniman for coming by the TS server to hash this out.
We have finalized the terms. The scrim will be broadcast live on http://www.egln.net/ with a 1 minute delay, so this is going to be a great spectator sport!
Maps will be Strike at Karkand and Kubra Dam. We will play 100% ticket count, 20 second spawn timer, and switch sides after each round. It will be 30v30 with the remaining slots for cameramen and supervisors.

Re: BF2C vs TG scrim discussion thread
Does that mean we play kubra as USMC and MEC, and then Karkand as MEC and USMC?

Re: BF2C vs TG scrim discussion thread
The camera man and announcers will be free camming. Check out that video I posted. Its the last broadcasted EGLN match between BF2C and Gamersnight. It will give you an idea of what happens in these matches.

(If you paste this URL in to "Open URL" on Windows Media Player, it will stream the video so you wont have to download the whole thing.)
This is going to be tons of fun guys. I'm really looking forward to it.

Re: BF2C vs TG scrim discussion thread
Also, just so you guys understand the change:
-The [1EU] is 1 of 8 Armies in the BF2C tournament.
-Since you are playing all of BF2C now, it will be a mix of all the Armies in the tournament.
A list of all the Armies + number of active players:

To explain ourselves a little better, we play 2 battle days a week that are 10 hours long. We play the other armies in the tournament in 32 vs 32 battles over territory. We play a lot of custom maps and also have custom sounds, weapons (mortars), uniforms, ect... It is all very organized with a command structure that actually works.
I hope that clears up who and what BF2C is.

Re: BF2C vs TG scrim discussion thread
Will there be any "gentlemen's agreements" about rules? Spawn Killing, UCB-camping, suicide tactics, etc?
Also - are we playing with or without unlocks?

Re: BF2C vs TG scrim discussion thread
With unlocks and we are all honorable gamers, so yes there will be "gentlemen agreements". I think me and Tempus already went over them.
I'm a notorious jihader (Ive been know to take out whole armor columns with 1 jeep), but I can do them and survive. So, they wont be suicide tactics IF I use them.
