Re: Retired from BF2? Post here.
Despite the creative spelling, it's a very funny post Rick, especially the way you created awkward silences between yourself and the reporter!
I only played with you once but there were good games and memorable, especially the first time you told me 'Rick sweeping left' and the first thing that came into my head was 'this is no time for spring cleaning, there's a war on!'. Hopefuly see you in ArmAss someday, all the best with the new business.

A pity we won't ever see you on bf, nut I admit that the gameplay in Sahrani suits the length of your posts more

Re: Retired from BF2? Post here.
MasterEditorInChief here. I haven't retired per se, but I haven't touched our BF2 disc in forever (unless it's to remove it to put in the BF2142 disc). However, I must state the reason I stopped playing BF2: it was losing it's fun.
I mean, you can only play the maps so many times before you're bored of it. Strike at Karkand, Mashtuur, and Sharqi were fun, but you can only do so much on them. I never really liked the Chinese maps either.
This wasn't as big of a factor as the boosters. When the boosters came out, I figured we'd get Euro Forces, but we got neither. TG then supported the boosters, and few people actually had them. It sucked when I was on a roll on Vanilla maps only to get kicked since an EF or AF map was being loaded. What sucks even more is the fact that we got Special Forces, and no one played that.
Oh, I must also blame my loss of interest in BF2 due to the disappearance of FPS_Douglas. What can I say, things were never dull around him
.
I work on the weekends now, so Tac Mod is out of the question, though it never clicked with me as well as it did with my sister ThePenguineer. I do occasionally play my sister's POE game when she's away though, and I never tire of blasting someone away with the Benelli M1014 Shotgun.
Maybe I'll log onto the POE server later, just to relive old times. You know; 7 kits, APCs were an actual threat to armor, knifing/the pursuit of knifing Santa (something that never gets old, or done for that case), etc.

^^^ POE2 was the greatest thing to ever happen to BF2. Totally breathed new life into it. You should give it another shot bro!
