Battlefield Admin Channel in TS?
Icky's post gave me an idea... Not sure if it makes sense or not, but here it is:
What if we had our PRM, BF2, PoE2, and 2142 admins all in a single TS channel? The thinking is that if there isn't someone in your game channel (which is more frequently the case these days for the PoE2 channel), you currently have to find a place to hide, alt-tab out of game, and track one down. In other words, you just don't and infractions go unreported. The idea here is that if there was just a single admin channel, you would just whisper that channel.
I'm not sure if this would reduce the load on admin scheduling (since admins would cover multiple servers), or what the overall impact would be but.... Like I said - I haven't thought it out completely, but I just wanted to throw the idea out there. With the 5-6 BF servers we're running, there's a lot of ground for admins to cover.

Re: Battlefield Admin Channel in TS?
It is difficult for us to admin more than one game at any given time. I think the way we currently do it is the best possible way.

Re: Battlefield Admin Channel in TS?
With all the "we really don't mind, come get us in whatever channel we're in and we'll help you with your smacktard" posts from admins, I guess I was assuming the admin crew is currently administrating multiple games.
anyway - it was just a thought...

Re: Battlefield Admin Channel in TS?
I think the best way is the way Jep has his laptop setup to admin. He can run multiple CCs and still play on his desktop. I havn't been able to swing this yet, so I, alt-tab out and bring up the CC.
Not that it's a bad idea, but I am on the 2142 channel so that I can smack talk the people I am toying with
I don't mind switching to other channels. Could the wisper be set up to track down specific peopleregardless of which channel they are in? Sorry, I don't know Teamspeaks inner workings.

Re: Battlefield Admin Channel in TS?
I think you can setup whispers when they are online so you can choose who you want to whisper.
that sounds like a good idea trooper.

Re: Battlefield Admin Channel in TS?
We do admin multiple games, but we also like to participate in the regular TS discussions that happen between rounds, etc. Dropping all the admins into their own channel would be rather isolationist for them.

Re: Battlefield Admin Channel in TS?
You can configure a button to whisper to all the admins if you can put all their names on the list. This could get really annoying for the admins, though, especially since I'm unaware of any means of responding to a whisper without bringing up teamspeak in time to find the glowing green dot.
